Pingu and Pinga were having dinner at the asian food bar/restaurant.

Back in Tokyo

Pingu and Pinga are back in Tokyo. Can you see the metropolitan government building lit up with olympic colors?

Hammock

Pingu and Pinga were in the hammock this morning. I wanted to be there under the sun too!

Pork?!

It's pork not Puma! Okinawa pork is famous and many souvenirs are with pork, shisa (a kind of mythical lion) or goya (Okinawa bitter melon).

Parrots

They were at the hotel lobby. One of them said "hello" repeating after Pinga.

Glassboat cruise

Pinga and Pingu went to a glassboat cruise. They could see so many fish coming very close to the boat.

Tropical flower

Pinga found this cute tropical flower on the way to the bus station from Shuri castle.

Shuri castle

This used to be the castle for the king of the Ryukyu kingdom. It's one of the world heritage sites.

Okinawa

Pingu and Pinga went to Okinawa today. It's much warmer than Tokyo. It's a they from their hotel.

Imperial palace

Pingu and Pinga went to the imperial palace. This is one of the entrances to the inner palace. It rained on and off but there were many tourists.

Picnic

It was sunny and people were enjoying picnic under the flowers.

Kanzan tree

Pingu and Pinga are at a park in Shinjuku. This tree looks very similar to sakura. It's in sakura group and called kanzan.

Jindaiji temple

There were a turtle and many carp at the pond. Turtle looked as if it's hesitating to dive into the water.

Shinjuku

Pingu and Pinga went to an observation room at the metropolitan government building. This is the view from there.

Japanese cloth

Pinga found a cloth shop in Asakusa that sells colorful cloth for making kimono.

Gojunotou

This is the pagoda at Asakusa temple.

At Asakusa temple

These are Japanese sweets called Ningyoyaki. One has the shape of a dove and another a pagoda tower.

Japanese style wedding

Pingu and Pinga saw traditional Japanese wedding held at the Meiji jingu.

Meiji jingu

Pingu and Pinga are at the Meiji jingu shrine. This person was cleaning the road to the main building with a very long broom.

Numata park

Pingu and Pinga visited this park to look at sakura flowers. This tree is 400 years old.

Sakura carpet

Deja-vu was at the park together with Pinga and Pingu. Sakura has started to fall and that looked like a flower carpet.

Full bloom

It's sunny and Pinga and Pingu found a full bloom sakura spot today. You can see a snowy mountain in the background.

Kanpai!

Pingu's father has arrived in Tokyo and they did cheers with sake.

Sakura

In Tokyo, cherry blossoms are already gone and in Niigata, it's just a beginning. This is 30% blooming. It will be in full bloom next week.

Hello from Tokyo

Hi Scotch. This is Deja-vu. How are things in sweden? Pinga and Pingu is missing scotch but not the swedish weather.

At the airport on the way to Tokyo

Pingu and Pinga have left me again and they are at the airport now. Pinga found elk and reindeer paté.

Celebration!

Pingu and Pinga made a big decision and bought an apartment today. So they were celebrating that with sparkling wine and ice cream.

Pingu left it open and I became curious. What is inside?

Flowers

It looks and smells like spring today.

On the balcony

It was sunny in the afternoon so I was on the balcony sun bathing. I was also avoiding Pingu vacuum cleaning the apartment.

It's beer time

Pingu and Pinga are at their friends' place drinking and playing a boardgame. Pinga thought one of the beer's label is cute with a seal picture. I'm bored at home though...

One year!
