Christmas present debut

Momo-chan received gifts from Pingu's dad for Christmas. Here he is wearing the cute pajamas gift for the first time.

Momo-chan likes to squeeze the remote control and once in a while he turns on the TV.

There is quite a lot of snow in Lund. This photo was taken at the main square where kids were playing.

Decorated nails for new year

Pinga did some nail art as it is soon new year. She used stickers from her sister and it turned out quite well.

Bowling

Momo-chan was at a bowling hall for the first time. He was very curious and looking around. This is Pingu's sister when she got a strike.

French fries

As Pingu's sister is here, they had lunch in town yesterday as well. It was at their favourite hamburger place and Momo-chan tasted a bit of French fries for the first time.

Baby sleigh

Pingu and Pinga got a baby sleigh for Momo-chan. It has better back support than the normal children sleigh. As it is so snowy and difficult to push the stroller, it is a good thing to have. Momo-chan seems to like it too.

At a restaurant

As they had lunch at a pizzeria, Momo-chan got to taste a bit of pizza dough.

Pingu's sister

Pingu's sister is in Lund visiting us. So they went to town to have lunch. It was so much snow on the street and difficult yo pish the baby stroller.

Friends visit

The family that Pingu, Pinga and Momo-chan spent Christmas eve with came for lunch today. Their youngest daughter and Momo-chan are about the same age and they seem to like the same toy. So they were fighting a bit over the book and the o'ball.

Singing Momo-chan

Momo-chan was talking in a high tone voice today and I got scared... It sounded almost like he was singing.

Happy 9 months old Momo-chan

Momo-chan became 9 months old today. He was playing with the new toy that he got as one of the Christmas presents. It's a vegetable basket. Momo-chan seems to like carrots and cabbage a lot.

Merry Christmas!

In Sweden we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve so today we opened presents. Momo-chan, Pingu and Pinga was with a nice family that lives close by and had a very nice Christmas Eve. Here you can see the youngest daughter with Momo-chan opening their presents. The wrapping is almost the best part don't you think?

Santa on the run!

We saw Santa Claus today. He was in a hurry running into a neighboring building. I guess he must be busy handing out gifts so a bit strange that he did not have a sack with him. Maybe he parked the sleigh nearby?

Lussekatter, yummy!

Momo-chan got to try a bit of a lussekatt (saphron bun). He did not eat it like it looks like in this photo but just played with it. He was given a small piece directly in the mouth by Pingu.

Tiger sitting

It was snowing so much so Pinga went to her friends' place with a baby carrier. So Momo-chan was wearing the tiger outfit. Pinga friends thought it's very cute on him.

Gingerbreads

Pinga has baked gingerbreads with almonds (skurna franska pepperkakor) following the recipe from her Swedish teacher. Momo-chan was very curious about them.

Talking Momo-chan

Momo-chan still has runny nose but he is in general in a good mood and talking happily.

Standing Momo-chan

Pinga also noticed Momo-chan likes to stand up. With the help of sofa, he could stand like this more than 5 minutes this afternoon. I wonder when he will start to chase me...

Stable Momo-chan

Pinga noticed that Momo-chan can do many things and he is pretty stable.

Piggy spatula

Pingu thinks Pinga uses spatula very often. Pinga has been looking for a good spatula and found this one. She thought it not only looks cute but works quite well.

Medicine bottle

Momo-chan has been very curious about Pinga's vitamin tablet bottle as it makes interesting noise and today Pinga gave it to Momo-chan and he was very curious.

Minus 8C degrees

It was very cold but Pinga and Momo-chan went out for a shopping at a nearby supermarket. I was happy staying inside the apartment.

Christmas illumination

Pinga and her friend were walking to the bus station together with the dogs. The street was nicely lit for Christmas.

Is it a pillow?

While Pinga and her friend were having tea and cookies, they were just next to Pinga. It's difficult to see but they were lying on Pinga's bag. First came Tilda and then Ismelda. They were very friendly and cuddly.

Pinga's friend has these two cute schnauzers. Closer one is Tilda and back of her is Ismelda. They came to meet Pinga close to the Lund train station. They like to walk on the snow just like Deja-vu does.

Minus 6C degrees

Pinga was waiting for a bus to go to town when she took this photo. It was very cold but looked nice with all the snow.

Gingerbread and Momo-chan's hand impression

Pinga baked gingerbreads today. Left side of the gingerbreads is Momo-chan's hand impression. It is done in a manner so that it looks like it was done on the ginger bread.

New favourite toy

Momo-chan seems to like this dog a lot these days. I'm happy to see him active again after the sickness but I'm afraid of those toys that make noise. This dog talks and sings and that makes me scared...

Christmas illumination

It was unusual for Pinga to be out in town in the evening. She met her friends for a drink. Town was nicely lit with Christmas illumination. Can you see the ice on the ground? It was minus 5C degrees.

Christmas trees for sale

They are selling Christmas trees in the square near by shopping area. Pinga thought she would buy one when Momo-chan gets a bit bigger. Last time we had a Christmas tree was in 2006.

8 weeks baby

As Momo-chan was feeling much better today, they went out for a brunch with friends. Their friend has a baby that is soon 8 weeks old. She was very small compared to Momo-chan.

Momo-chan in Saab

Momo-chan was at the emergency care center for children again. At the waiting room, there was this wooden Saab for kids so Momo-chan tried it out. After the check-up, the doctor said that he will be fine in a few days. The difficult part for Pinga and Pingu was to take the pee sample. They waited for more than an hour to get it.

Out on the balcony

As it was much warmer outside today I went out on the balcony but walking on the snow was coooold! I came back after two minutes or so.

Lussekatter: Second attempt

As Momo-chan was sick, Pinga baked saffron buns again and it turned out to be better than the first time. She also made saffron apple buns, round ones in the photo, and Pingu liked them better.

Pinga has recovered from cold and now Momo-chan is sick. This is Momo-chan waiting for his turn at a health center.

Out in the snow

Pinga and Momo-chan was out in town to meet some friends today. It was cold and snowy. I am not envious of them going out in the snow.

Lussekatter

Pinga has baked lussekatter, Christmas saffron buns, for the first time by herself. It went quite ok but she wanted them more fluffy and moist. Momo-chan was very curious but it's a bit early for him to taste one of those. Pinga became surprised how powerful Momo-chan was when he was pulling them towards him.

Pepparkaksfil

There are many food and snacks that are seasonal in Japan but it is not so common to find them in Sweden. But Pinga found this pepparkaksfil yesterday so she had it with corn flakes this morning. Pepparkaka is ginger cookie and fil is filmjölk. Filmjölk is a dairy product that is inbetween milk and yogurt. Pingu usually eats his musli with blueberry filmjölk for his breakfast.

Lots of babies!

Pinga had some moms and babies over for afternoon tea and cake. There were so many babies in the apartment I had to hide.

Cardamum rolls

Pinga baked cardamum rolls the other day. They are tasty and Momo-chan was trying to grab a bite.

Jul pyssel: Chrstmas preparations

Pinga went to a kindergarten this evening to so dome craft for Christmas. She made these three items: candle holder, pot and a key ring. I like the pot best, of course!

Finger painting Part 2

Momo-chan's friend did good job with the painting. She is a little artist!

Finger painting

Momo-chan was supposed to paint with his fingers but he was curious about all other things and not in the mood for painting. So he was just sitting in front of the paper and colours.

Baking project あんパン＆りんごパン

As it's super snowy, Pinga did some baking. This time she made apple buns and red bean paste buns.
雪が降っているのでピンガはパンを焼きました。林檎パンとあんパンを作りました。ピングはりんごパンが好きで、ピンガはあんパンが好きです。

Snowing a lot

It's very cold and snowing a lot. I have not been outside for a long time but I am ok with it.

Momo-chan's girlfriend?

Pinga has baked some cookies and invited friends. They came with to daughters and one of them is close to Momo-chan's age. They were on the mat together.

Yomogi udon lunch

Pinga cooked udon noodle for Momo-chan. He seems to like udon and opens his mouth eagerly. Usually udon is white but as it was yomogi udon, it was green. Yomogi is a Japanese herb that contains fiber, calcium, vitamin A and so on.

Rocking horse

Momo-chan tried the rocking horse for the first time. He was just sitting and did not really know how to play with it. He seemed to be happy meeting many other babies and kids there though.

Snowy and windy

Today's highest temperature was minus 3C degrees and it was snowing almost all day. Momo-chan and Pinga went out and it was cooooold.

Tasty foot

Momo-chan is quite limber and can easily reach his mouth with his feet. Recently he likes to suck on his toes while lying on his back. Impressive!

Winter wonderland

Momo-chan went for a walk with Pingu in the coastal village of Arild. It was quite windy and snowing but thanks to the rain cover and overall Momo-chan slept nicely. During this walk Pinga was at the hotel getting her spa treatment.
