Two towers

These are the famous two towers in Bologna. They went up the taller tower which is 97m high.

Late lunch

As it's nice and warm, they sat outside and had lunch. Pinga had lasagne la Bolognese.

They climbed up about 500 steps to see this view. Very nice. There are many towers and churches in Bologna.

University of Bologna

Pinga's friend has studied at the university of Bologna so they went to see her faculty building.

Arrived in Bologna

Pinga traveled to Italy to visit her friend. They met at the Bologna central station. Pinga thought it's fascinating to see old memorials or ruins just by the modern things.

Momo-chan was working around and playing even after Pinga came to get him on Wednesday.

Momo-chan 18 months and 10.1 kilos

SInce it was Momo-chan's 18 month birthday this Sunday Pingu and Pinga put him on a scale to see his weight. He is now 10.1 kilos. He is finally heavier than me!

Momo-chan doll

Another kindergarden assignment was to make a doll of the child. Here is the Momo-chan version that Pinga made. Momo-chan likes himself as you can see.

Flag making at Momo-chan's kindergarden

Pinga went to Momo-chan's kindergarden for a parent-teacher meeting. They talked about many things and also made flags representing the nationality of the parents. Almost all of the kids in Momo-chan's group have dual nationality. Cool!

Helping hand

Momo-chan helped Pingu today with filling up the washing machine. Very helpful. How about giving filling up my food bowl Momo-chan?

Kids visitors again

Two boys and their parents came to visit us this afternoon. All of them are 18 or 19 months old and they had fun playing together.

Happy 18 months old Momo-chan!

Momo-chan turned 18 months old today. He weighs 10.1 kg now. As it was sunny and nice they went to Momo-chan's day care's playground.

Kids visitors

They came to us for dinner. Momo-chan seemed to be very happy playing with them but as usual I was afraid and stayed away from them.

Momo-chan was upset the other lunch and hit the food bowl. Such a mess Momo-chan!

Momo-chan fell asleep face down and butt up after lunch. Trying to look like stuffed Pingu next to him perhaps?

Hot air balloon

This hot air balloon flew just above our house close to 6pm. That showed that it was a very calm and windless afternoon. You can even see the fire on the hot air balloon in this photo.

Another plant

Momo-chan stopped often and touched plants. Pinga was worried but he didn't try to put things into his mouth this afternoon.

Swing

As Momo-chan can't use normal swing Pinga became happy finding this kind for small kids.

Momo-chan was checking out many plants as they walked. Here's Momo-chan touching a flower. Then he took of some petals so Pinga stopped him.

Curious Momo-chan

Pinga and Momo-chan went to a playground. After trying everything Momo-chan wanted to take a walk. He wanted to open this door to someone's garden.

Macaroons from France

Pinga became really happy when she found these macaroons on her desk on Monday morning. Out was a gift from her friend who went to France on vacation. Very nice!

Apartment with a view

They went to visit their friends who lives on the tenth floor. Momo-chan was fascinated by the view and standing just by the window watching. He was also eating a rice cracker too.

Momo-chan can walk kind of fast now and he was running toward the gate.

Tunnels!

Pingu and Momo-chan visited a nearby playground the other day. One part of it was these big concrete cylinders put together like a T-shaped tunnel system. Momo-chan really liked it and ran back and forth.

Walking home

Momo-chan is very lucky, his kindergarden is only 200 meters away from our house. He does not walk home all the way but here Pingu let him walk a bit and took this picture.

Change of electricity sub-station

The neighborhood electricity sub-station blew up during a July thunder and lightning storm. For a long time now there has been a replacement put there next to the old one. Now after a long while they came to pick up he old one. Pingu caught the moment when walking to kindergarden with Momo-chan.

Momo-chan at kindergarden

Momo-chan has started kindergarden now. During the past week and this week here is there "on training" so it is not full time. He seems to like it a lot and is doing good. He also enjoys being outside playing.

Momo-chan library

Pingu unpacked boxes of books on Sunday and made Momo-chan section. He seems to likes it.

Momo-chan hasn't played outside and he wanted to go play. So as you can see he was very happy to put warm clothes on and go out.

Pinga thought not only the dinner and dessert tasted good but the table decoration was very pretty.

They went to visit their friends. Third friends' cat likes her cat glass and she was hiding and eating.

By using apple from our garden, Pinga baked these. Pingu really liked them.

It's getting colder. So Pingu and Momo-chan wore knit hats and went out in the garden to pick apples.

There is a day care just by the park and they were very curious about it.

Pinga's friend has made custard puddings. Just was tasty and Momo-chan liked it a lot too.

At a park

Day care was until 3pm so after that, Pinga and Momo-chan went to a park to meet their friends.

Starting day care

It was Momo-chan's first day at a day care. Pinga was there too but Momo-chan was quite independent checking out toys and walking around while another boy who had started day care today was almost always close to his mom.

今日は変な天気でした。お昼頃には大雨、そして夕方には気持ちのよい晴れ。晴れたのでピングとももちゃんは庭に出ました。初めてシャボン玉を見たももちゃんは興味深そうに追いかけていました。
Strange weather today. Sudden heavy rain at noon time and then became sunny. Pingu and Momo-chan went out to the garden as it became sunny. Pingu was blowing soap bubbles and Momo-chan was chasing it curiously.

Pingu picked some more apples by using a ladder so Pinga made an apple jam four the first time.

Eating an apple

Momo-chan was eating an apple from our garden. Pinga became a bit surprised to see that he has eaten half of it. Momo-chan slipped and scratched his face on Friday and it has not healed yet.

Bus to the wedding banquet

After the ceremony this bus cane to bring the attendees to the banquet location. It was not so fast away from Lund but very nice and secluded garden style banquet place.

Wedding couple's daughters gave attendees of the ceremony small containers of soap water so that they can welcome the wedding couple blowing bubbles. Very nice idea!

Wedding at Lund cathedral

Pingu and Pinga were attending friends' wedding at Lund cathedral. It was very nice to be at their important day. They've known each other for 22 years and they have two lovely daughters.

Pinga was happy that it turned out to be tasting just like the pumpkin dish Pinga's mom cooks.
