Paris blue sky

Pingu was happy to spend some time in Paris since it meant changing from Lund and below freezing to Paris and almost 10 degrees centigrade. On Friday it was even clear blue skies and sunny.

Enormous chocolate soufflé

No this is not a mushroom, it is a chocolate soufflé that Pingu had for dessert on the Paris business dinner. It was super tasty and it will not be the last time for him to order this if he gets the chance.

Paris dinner

Pingu went on a business trip to Paris just before the weekend. This photo is from a dinner on Thursday. Food was tasty and the wine was nice and plentiful.

After the day care

Momo-chan is having cold but he was happy and active when Pinga went this pick him up this afternoon. He was running around when he came out of the day care building.

Movie: Momo-chan on a sledge

It snowed just a bit in the afternoon. Pinga went to pick up Momo-chan from day care. On the way back, Momo-chan saw a slope that he rode a sledge and expressed that he wanted to do it again today. So they came back home, took a sledge and went to the slope. Here he is enjoying a sledge ride. They went up and down the hill about ten times. Pinga became tired.

22 months old Momo-chan

Momo-chan turned 22 months old today. He was very curious about Pinga's hair clips and removed them from her hair. So Pinga put them on him. As he has much more hair now than before they could actually stay for a while.

Swing

Momo-chan wanted to be on the swing too. This reminded Pinga of Los Angeles as Momo-chan enjoyed being on the swing there too.

Walking around

Momo-chan walked around the garden too.

Out with a sledge

Pinga and Momo-chan were sick at home today too. Seems like the cold this time is really a bad one. As there were still snow, Pinga took Momo-chan out with a sledge. Momo-chan enjoyed it and pinga became a bit tired walking up and down the hill.

Garbage collection truck

Momo-chan and Pinga were sick at home. Momo-chan found it very interesting to watch the garbage collection truck. Pinga was surprised to see much snow in Lund.

Milano Malpenza airport

For Pinga there are some memories at this airport. This is where she was after saying good bye to her best friend at the Milano train station in 2007. Also this was where she said good bye to her parents after the cruise in 2008.

Bye bye Champoluc

Pinga left Champoluc at 1530 on Monday. It was a very nice trip but it would have been better if she hasn't been sick.

Rental ski

The skis that Pinga rented was one of the best. As Pinga's expectation was really low, she was pleasantly surprised.

Lunch with a view

Pinga and her colleagues had lunch at a kind of trendy interior restaurant. Food was just ok but the view was very nice.

Italian lift end station

Pinga thought the lift station building is cute with orange frames.

Monday: last day of skiing

It was a bit colder than the day before but nice weather. Despite of the bad cold, Pinga went out skiing. Too difficult to not to ski when the snow mountain is so close.

This horse was hungry

While out for a walk (well maybe not much walking by Momo-chan) they came upon a couple of horses. One of them became curious and approached them at the fence. Pingu grabbed a bit of grass and fed it to to the horse who happily ate it up. Pingu gave some grass to Momo-chan and then the horse ate it from Momo-chan's hand. Cute!

Mr snowman

Momo-chan and Pingu were out walking yesterday. They saw several snow men but this was probably the most nice looking one. Interesting arms don't you think?

Sunny day in Champoluc

Third day of skiing and finally good weather and lifts were moving. Pinga enjoyed skiing but she had a fever again in the evening.

I can pull too

Momo-chan being pulled a lot and started crying when Pingu stopped. Momo-chan also enjoyed pulling the sledge himself.

Downhill!

Pingu took out the small sledge from storage and pulled Momo-chan to the closest slope. There were already some people there building a snow man and going down the hill. Momo-chan laughed and enjoyed going down the slope. Unfortunately Pingu was having a quite bad headache and it got worse going up and down so they only rode a couple of times.

Lots of snow!

Lund got a lot of snow again this afternoon. Pingu decided this was an excellent chance for Momo-chan to go out and play so they went out. Pingu started to clear the driveway of snow and Momo-chan wanted to help too!

Dinner but not much appetite

Pinga had been suffering from a bad cold. She gave up on skiing and rested whole afternoon but she is still not feeling well...

Walking back to the hotel

As it was nice and sunny, they took a walk to the hotel.

Pizza lunch

Pinga had pizza lunch with her colleagues. It was good but Pinga thought Pinga's favourite pizza place was a bit better.

No gondolas hanging

As the wind was getting stronger and stronger, they have stopped the only gondola that was operating. Pinga just skied down three times. It was only 11am.

Scuola sci Champoluc

Looking at teachers and suffer students of Champoluc ski school and Pinga was thinking of the days she was teaching ski in Japan.

Better weather but windy

Lightly snowing but the weather was much better than yesterday. But it was windy and only one gondola was moving.

The energy thief is gone!

This morning some service guys came by and exchanged the old kitchen fan assembly. In it is a circuit board that controls the house ventilation system. The old one was broken and a heating element was constantly on and drained a lot of power. Now it is gone and the new kitchen fan is quite a bit smaller and more modern looking. I hope Pinga likes it too.

Snow!

Late last night it started snowing in Lund! This morning some of it was still there but not much. Maybe the weather gods thought Pinga needed it for her ski trip but it fell in the wrong place then.

Gorgonzola pasta

Pinga had this gorgonzola pasta as part of her dinner. Pinga was thinking of Pingu as he likes gorgonzola cheese.

Kids/beginners slopes

There's ski school at Champoluc and Pinga noticed that there are good slopes for beginners. Pinga was thinking of the days that she taught skiing.

Genga

Pinga and her colleagues played genga after skiing. They did well and it became a really tall tower. Pinga managed not to destroy it.

Launch break

Pingav had a minestrone soup and warm wine for lunch. She was not impressed by the soup but happy with the warm wine.

Heidi at a lift station

Heidi the girl in alps is famous in Japan through animation series but Pinga's Swedish colleagues don't know her.

White world

It snowed all day and Pinga and her colleagues didn't get good sight. But they had good snow. From the people that happened to be on the same lift, Pinga found out that it was sunny and nice yesterday.

Time to ski!

Pinga has rented skis and ready this get on a lift. Is was snowing but nit so cold.

Arrived in Champoluc 22:05

After two hours flight and 2,5h bus ride, Pinga and colleagues arrived this hotel in a small village called Champoluc. She's looking forward to skiing for the first time in Italy.

Cleaning Momo-chan

Momo-chan was sick so he was at home with Pinga. Pinga was cleaning the entrance and Momo-chan wanted to do the same. The bloom was a bit too long for him though.

Godzilla shirt

Momo-chan wore his Godzilla shirt for the first time today. He was active and happy but was having fever. So he came back home early.

Come home Momo-chan!

Momo-chan was dressed for coming back home from day care. When Pinga went to pick him up, he continued to play and didn't really want to come back home.

Morning Momo-chan

Momo-chan slept well and woke up just in time for day care this morning. Here's Momo-chan just arrived at day care. He was happy until the moment Pinga was leaving.

New books from L.A.

Momo-chan received new books from Pinga's friend. He seems to like them and brings them to Pinga so that she can read them for him.

Little cleaner

Momo-chan loves to clean. Pingu was cooking and the vacuum cleaner was lying on the floor so he tried to use it.

Afternoon tea

They were invited to their friends place for an afternoon tea. Momo-chan liked the homemade bread a lot. He received these new toys as well. Very nice!

Fruit eater

Momo-chan got to eat a small piece but he just picked mango and apple pieces from the cake and wasn't interested in sponge or cream.

Pingu cake

Pinga made this cake as a part of birthday dinner for Pingu. Pinga celebrated Pingu's birthday but they didn't eat dinner so she decided to make a steak dinner.

Sunset

Pinga took this photo in the way back from a supermarket. It's difficult too see in this photo but the sky was red and beautiful.

Freezing cold

They played outside too. It was minus degrees and cold but they didn't care and they ran around.

Play date

Momo-chan visited his friends place to play. Momo-chan's friend is one month older than him.
