Toshikoshi soba

It's a Japanese custom to have noodle on new years eve. So they went to a Japanese restaurant fir dinner. Just before they reach there Momo-chan fell asleep and he didn't wake up the whole dinner time.

Play area

After the airport, Pingu head home thinking that Momo-chan wants you be at home. But he wanted too be with Pinga. So they drove to a shopping mall and Momo-chan had fun running around this play area.

Santa Monica airport

After the mall, they drove to Santa Monica airport. Here they saw small airplanes and a helicopter landing and taking off.

Frozen yogurt break

Together with Pingu, Momo-chan enjoyed frozen yogurt. Momo-chan is more into toppings and candies than frozen yogurt though.

Puyo puyo again

Momo-chan and Pinga shared tapioca milk tea again. Pinga likes this place the bestb for tapioca texture and tea flavour. Momo-chan was very happy.

Colourful flowers

They were at a supermarket and Momo-chan found these flowers. He said he wanted to 'nade nade' them, means gently touch them.

Bolsa Chica ecological reserve

After lunch they went for a walk at this ecological reserve by the sea. They saw squirrels, different kinds of birds and fish.

Sea food paradise

They went to have dim sum lunch. The restaurant Sea Food Paradise was very crowded and ask the things they took was tasty. Momo-chan liked the dumplings best.

Kinect kung-fu

Pingu and Momo-chan played Kinect games yesterday so today Pinga got to  try it. Power punch!

Time to go home

Around five it got dark and they were heading home. Momo-chan fell asleep before reaching their car.

Loooong queue

Where was this queue lead to? Ladies room! In the afternoon, there were really lots of people and queues were everywhere. People had to wait more than one hour to get on a ride.  This toilet queue was too much for Momo-chan to wait.

Snoopy cupcake

They had late lunch at a bakery. Pinga thought these cupcakes were cute. Didn't buy them though.

Merry go round

There were not many rides that Momo-chan could ride as he is not tall enough. He was on three different kinds of trains and this meet go round.

Knott's berry farm

Pinga took Momo-chan to Knott's to meet their friends from Geneva. Very sunny and very many people.

Korean barbeque!

Pinga and Momo-chan went to an amusement park together so Pingu hung out with his friend. They went to a Korean all you can eat barbeque restaurant. Very tasty!

Churros!

After the beach play they went around downtown Huntington beach. They tried a Mexican dessert called churros. Momo-chan liked it.

Momo-chan said he wanted to bathe so they walked down to the beach and played in the surf while the sun was setting.

Gyoza!

It was late afternoon and Momo-chan was hungry so they stopped by a sushi restaurant in Huntington beach which is the area where they are visiting one of Pingu's friends. Momo-chan really liked their gyoza while Pingu enjoyed California rolls and some Japanese beer.

Pet store

While Pinga was shopping yesterday, Pingu and Momo-chan went to a nearby pet store. Momo-chan liked looking at the small animals including mice, turtles and lizards.

My lips are burning :(

After a while poor Momo-chan said his lips hurt. They ordered white rice for him but that'd didn't help much so Pingu took him to a frozen yogurt place.

Kimchi Momo-chan

They had Korean dinner this evening. Momo-chan somehow liked kimchi, spicy pickled hakusai, and asked for more. Are you sure you will be ok afterward Momo-chan?

Hawaiian music

They are the group performing Hawaiian music. Police officer was talking to the guy as it was a bit too big volume.

Third street promenade

After Pinga's haircut, they were in Santa Monica for some shopping. Momo-chan enjoyed listening and watching street performers. Here he is listening to Hawaiian music performance.

Frozen yogurt!

Pingu loves frozen yogurt with toppings so Momo-chan and Pingu went to yogurtland together while Pinga is getting her haircut.

Gyouza dinner

It was gyouza dinner at home today. Momo-chan ate well. Pinga was happy with elingi mushroom.

Waboba ball fun

Momo-chan and Pingu had fun throwing and chasing a ball.

Sand carrying

Momo-chan wanted to make a mountain with sand. Here he is carrying wet sand.

Momo-chan was very eager to bathe. Here's Momo-chan waking toward the beach by himself. Pinga had tough time catching up with him as she still has a problem.

Christmas day

Momo-chan was jetlagged and awake from 5am but he had much energy. After the breakfast was present opening time!

Coco wa doko?

Momo-chan loves his tapioca milk tea as does Pinga so they got more today at a popular new place called coco.

Christmas on the beach

Momo-chan was warm since L.A. temperature was 28 C. He wanted to bathe so they went to Santa Monica beach. It was quite cold in the water so they played in the surf.

Santa breakfast

Momo-chan dressed as Santa for Christmas day. He woke up at 4 in the morning due to jet lag.

Momo-chan the pilot

So here it is Momo-chan in the pilot seat. This very nice gentleman explained how many training hours he did, where the fuel tanks were, turned on monitors, and so on. Not only Momo-chan but Pingu was exited.

Plane returned and...

This plane just came back from flying and parked. The pilot came out and asked them if they want to sit at the cockpit. Of course, they said yes!

Santa Monica airport

They went to Santa Monica airport to see some planes. Not many planes taking off or landing but it was fun for Momo-chan.

Puyo puyo!

Momo-chan has been saying he wants to drink puyo puyo (tapioca milk tea, that is). So he was very happy to get his own. Here's Momo-chan chewing and chewing.

Breakfast of champions

Pinga's aunt and uncle served up a great breakfast for their first L.A. morning.

Momo-chan started the day by laying down on the roof terrace. Sunny and warm!

L.A. Traffic

They arrived yesterday afternoon and after an hour in lines for immigration they finally could pickup the rental car. Then they could experience L.A. Traffic.

Winter has come for some. This is mist likely somewhere over Canada.

Aeroplane Momo-chan

Momo-chan, Pinga and Pingu flew to Los Angeles yesterday. Here Momo-chan is enjoying some in flight entertainment.

Attached scooter

Creative Momo-chan has attached his scooter behind his car. He will take this scooter to a trip tomorrow.

Last day at work

There is no fun photo today as Momo-chan was tired. He was the very last kid picked up at daycare today. As it was the last day at work for Pingu and Pinga, they had much to do. They will have two weeks off during Christmas and new year.

Christmas lighting

Momo-chan was curious about their neighbors Christmas lighting. As you can see it's very blue.

Momo-chan made this star boy for Lucia day. Star boy is part of singing procession.

Colorful present

Pingu's father was visiting this Sunday. He gave Pingu this present. There are six patterns to choose from and it changes colour by time.

Christmas tree

Their friends have this nice Christmas tree. It was set up yesterday.

Shop is open!

Momo-chan had fun with these kids. They moved from Japan this September so they were speaking Japanese. They opened a shop in this tent.

Helium balloons

They were happy getting these helium balloons. As there was helium left from birthday party balloons, they got these balloons filled with helium.

Christmas afternoon tea

Momo-chan and Pinga were at their friends place for Christmas tea time. Saffron buns, gingerbreads, chocolates and so on.

Momo-chan is good at eating with chopsticks. He enjoyed his udon noodle with piggies.
