Hello robot

Today's special event was this robot. Her (?) name is Nao and she is from France. Momo-chan and his friends were fascinated by her. She walked forward and backward, sat, talked and danced.

At science center

Momo-chan were at science center this afternoon with Pinga. There are some experiments you can try and here's Momo-chan trying lights experiment. Blue, red, green lights and UV give different  colors to to this picture.

Tasty roasted chestnuts

It was Momo-chan's first time eating freshly roasted chestnuts. Momo-chan said mmm oishii!

夕飯の後にピンガはオーブンで焼き栗を作りました。200℃で15分ではい、出来上がり。
Pinga made these roasted chestnuts after dinner. Chestnuts from Italy were very tasty.

Pinga came to work and saw this beautiful sky. It was just before 8am.

Fundraising for an orphanage

They will sell those cookies and wheat pillows tomorrow. All the money made from this project will be donated to an orphanage in Tanzania.

After making wheat pillows, they moved to their company's kitchen and baked cakes and ginger cookies. Pinga was helping making ginger cookies.

Volunteer project day

Pinga was making wheat pillows with her colleagues today. They can be microwaved and keep you warm. They made bug and small ones.

Pingu was happy with his favorite apple meringue cake.

Birthday dinner

It's Pingu's birthday today. Pinga prepared did lots of cooking and invited Pingu's siblings and friends.

Swan dessert

Momo-chan was happily tasting whipped cream. Then the swan appeared and he focused on the cherry jam underneath the cream.

Christmas tree

Pinga found this Christmas tree standing at the entrance of her office this morning. Since it's not so bright at 8am these days, nice to see a Christmas tree lit up in the morning.

Dinner was quiche made by her French friend. Very nice!

Pinga visited her friend and met Bolt. He was happy to see her and wanted to play all the time.

Winter lighting

Downtown Lund is nicely lit up for dark winter time. Christmas is just a month away.

Dinosaur ball

Momo-chan was asking Pinga if he could have a dinosaur. He meant a bath ball that contains mini dinosaur inside. Bath time became a lot of fun.
ももちゃんが「恐竜ちゃんある?」と聞くのでピンガはバスボールを取ってきました。青、緑またはオレンジの恐竜が中に入っているのですが、ももちゃんはオレンジがいいと言っていたところ、出てきたのがオレンジ色で大喜びでした。

0℃の朝 0C degrees in the morning

今朝は0℃でした。ももちゃんは昨日からオーバーオールを着始めました。朝から元気いっぱいに自転車に乗って通園しました。
It was 0C degrees in the morning. Momo-chan had this overall and biked to daycare. He didn't seem to care how cold it was and happy and active as usual.

Five-month-old baby

They wee invited for afternoon tea at their friends place. They have a baby boy who is five-month-old. He was cute with Totoro hat.

Momo-chan wanted to try the hat. A bit too small but still wearable.

Travel agency sign

Momo-chan said 'Mårten!' when he saw this travel agency sign on the street. It does look a bit like Nils and Mårten.

Five books selected

Momo-chan helped registering these five books to borrow at a terminal. One of them is an origami book in Japanese Pinga found.

City library

They went to borrow some kids book at Lund city library. Kids corner ifs nicely decorated and Momo-chan had fun.

Release party

At Pinga's work, there was a sw release party. Pinga had fun with colleagues.

Early sleeping

Momo-chan had mini excursion at daycare today so he was tired and fell asleep before 7pm. Pinga didn't have chance to capture him so no photo for the blog today...

日没 Sunset

Pinga saw this beautiful sunset at work just before 4pm. The sun goes down early these days.

Warabi mochi

Momo-chan loves something that has bouncy texture like tapioca. So he likes mochi, Japanese rice cake, as well. Here he is eating warabi mochi from Tokyo.

Momo-chan was having fun with mirrors. He said there are three me!

Afternoon snack

Today was cleaning day and Momo-chan helped take garden leaves to the city dump. Afterwards Momo-chan had some pear as his afternoon snack.

Momo-chan and Pingu visited Pingu's sister yesterday. She made them dinner and Momo-chan helped a bit too.

Shichi go san

November 15 is a day to celebrate Shichi go san in Japan. Shichi is 7, go is 5 and san is 3 in Japanese. It is to celebrate the growth and well-being of young children. Girls who are aged three and seven and boys aged three and five are dressed in kimono and visit shrine. Momo-chan took this photo when he was in Tokyo.

色々なかぼちゃ Colorful pumpkins

Pinga found these colorful pumpkins decorated at a restaurant she had lunch. As pumpkins in Japan are usually green kind, it's interesting to see these different ones.

Momo-chan washing his own hair

Momo-chan usually does not like getting his hair wet but tonight he started pouring water on it all by himself. Go Momo-chan!

Bathrobe Momo-chan

Momo-chan came out from the bathroom like this. Cute! Then Pingu dried his hair with a hair drier.

ももちゃんは元気にお風呂から出てきて、ピンガのところに来ました。「かかし！」と言って手を広げました。これはハウルの動く城を見たときにピンガと練習したかかしポーズでした。

Pinga prepared Chinese dinner. She is happy with this heart shaped plate found in Japan.

Afro Momo-chan

Momo-chan found this colorful wig at daycare and wanted to try it on. Then he wanted to see a mirror. Momo-chan is a fun person.

Nemo in Japanese

Momo-chan received a DVD from Japan. It's his favorite Finding Nemo. He opened the package and wanted to watch it immediately.

Friend visit

Momo-chan's friend from daycare came to visit this afternoon. They play very well together.

Fun continues

They did building project by using those plastic pipes and connecting parts. They had fun and stayed at this place for about four hours!

In a bubble

Momo-chan was inside of a huge bubble too. He was a bit shy to be there in the middle.

Vattenhallen: The water hall

In the afternoon, Pinga took Momo-chan to this science place. They have many equipments you can try. Also they watched a sound show. It was a bit advanced for Momo-chan as it was aimed for 5 year old but he was listening curiously.

Family gymnastics

Momo-chan and Pinga went to family gymnastics for the second time. Momo-chan had fun running, jumping, riding on a mat, and so on.

Pinga took this photo on her way to work. It's been raining everyday but seems like no rain and blue sky today. Nice!

雨続きでしたが、今日は晴れそうです。ピンガの通勤途中には乗馬学校があって、このように沢山の馬がいるんです。

Mt. Fuji chocolate

Pinga's friend gave them these mini mount Fuji chocolates. They have mountain shape!

New pillow 新しい枕

Pinga got this new pillow in Tokyo for Momo-chan as the current one is getting tiered. He seems to like this new cat pillow.

ももちゃんの今の枕がくたっとなってきたのでピンガはこの新しい枕を東京で買いました。ももちゃん、新しい枕が気に入ったようです。

Very orange toilet とてもオレンジ色のトイレ

Momo-chan's daycare has been renovated. They have changed lighting and repainted walls. One of the kids toilet has this blight orange wall.

ももちゃんの保育園は夏の間中、そして今も改修工事をしています。ももちゃんの家と同じく築20年なので、そろそろお手入れをしなければ、ということでしょう。照明を変え、壁も塗り直しました。子供達にとって良い照明と壁の色に変え、その後の変化を追跡するというモデルケースの保育園となったということでした。一つの組のトイレはこのようにとってもオレンジ色です。

New chair for tiger? 海苔の佃煮の椅子？

Pinga asked Momo-chan to put the sea weed jar in the kitchen. Creative Momo-chan has made it to tiger's chair. Look, it is quite good size for the tiger to sit on.

荷解きをしていたピンガはももちゃんに海苔の佃煮の瓶を台所へ持って行って、とお願いしました。台所に持って行ったはずの瓶は創造性豊かなももちゃんによりこうしてトラの椅子になっていました。

Non functional traffic light 機能しない信号

Pinga was biking down to town and the traffic light was temporally not working. It's nothing surprising as you see these temporarily not working traffic light from time to time in Lund. But Pinga was thinkings what would happen if this happens in Tokyo or in L.A.

ピンガが自転車で街へと行く途中、機能していない信号がありました。このような一時的に機能していない信号を見ることはルンドでは特に珍しいことではないです。でもピンガはこれが東京はロスアンゼルスで起きたらどういう事態になるのだろう、と思いを巡らせました。

Snake and crocodile

They were waving these big stuffed animals around. Hmm could cause a kitchen disaster... Pinga and her friend stopped them right after.
