Harumaki and katayakisoba

It was rainy, hot and humid today. The highest was 27C degrees. So they had dinner outside. Pinga's mom made harumaki (spring rolls) and katayakisoba (fried hard noodles). Momo-chan liked them a lot and ate well.

Under attack?

Pinga's mom asked Momo-chan to cover his little sister with a blanket. Momo-chan put this big dog over her instead.

Physiotherapist for twins

They visited physiotherapist to check twins headshape this afternoon. Pinga thought Momo-chan's sister is flat on one side but it was more problem for Momo-chan's brother. Physiotherapist suggested to train their neck muscle by putting them on their stomach, use of pillows and getting them to lie on the side that is not flat. She also explained why these problems are more common with premature babies. The reason being they were born early and their heads are softer than usual babies and so on. Tomorrow, Pinga and her mom will check out the pillows physiotherapist suggested.

Sprinkler fun again

Momo-chan proposed his friend to have fun with the sprinkler again this afternoon.

Banzai babies

Twins were sleeping well like this this afternoon. Momo-chan's sister seems to sleep especially well and for a long time.

Sprinkler fun

Momo-chan and his friend had fun in the garden with a sprinkler this afternoon. It was like 23C degrees but not that warm due to wind.

Cheers for mother's day

It is mother's day in Sweden so they celebrated with bubbly wine. Momo-chan had apple juice in champagne glass.

Afternoon at botanical garden

Momo-chan's Japanese teacher organized activities at the botanical garden in Lund with her students. It started off with finding things that represent opposite words, then this play "Daruma san ga koronda." it was new to Momo-chan and nostalgic to Pinga.

パスポート申請 Passport application

They went to police station to apply for passports for twins. It didn't take long time taking their photos as they opened their eyes nicely. Swedish government has changed rule and now kids passports are valid for three years instead of five years.

Open-air tempura

Pinga's mom is full of ideas. She proposed tempura for dinner today. Momo-chan liked it a lot too.

Mickey and Minnie

They received these sweet Good stuffed Mickey and Minnie from good friend of Pinga's in Los Angeles. Very nice!

Afternoon nap

They were invited their friends place for lunch. Momo-chan's brother was sleeping the whole time they were there. Momo-chan's sister had tough time but eventually fell asleep.

Bath time

Twins bathed with Pinga's mom this morning. As you can see, they found it nice and relaxing.

Ten years anniversary

It was Pingu and Pinga ten years wedding anniversary. They celebrated it with champagne at dinner time.

Smiling

Twins started to smile a lot these days. Momo-chan's brother started to smile about a week ago and now his sister smiles too.

3 months vaccination

The twins were at the health center for checkup and also vaccination. They got two injections for both thighs at once. Both of them cried and Momo-chan's sister was higher volume than his brother. Fortunately, they didn't get cranky later on our got fever.

Outside tea time

It was warm with 24C degrees. Here's Momo-chan eating dorayaki and his brother sleeping on a bouncer.

Dorayaki

Pinga's mom cooks many things. Today she made these Japanese sweet, dorayaki. It's like red bean paste in between pancakes. Momo-chan and Pingu only like pancakes and not bean paste.

Baby hoody

Momo-chan found baby hoody and wanted to try it on. It was not easy though.

Baby bouncer

Momo-chan invented new way of making baby bouncer swing. He was underneath his sister and made it move.

After dinner

Momo-chan was watching Ninja animation, Ninja Hattorikun, and Momo-chan's sister was just next to him like this.

After bathing

Here are amidst naked twins. It seems like Momo-chan's brother became heavier than his sister.

Momo-chan helped out bathing his sister this afternoon. Here he is willing her.

Momo-chan made this mask and came back with it from daycare.

Tonkatsu dinner

Pinga's mom is an excellent cook. Today she made these tonkatsu, like pork schnitzel but Japanese. They enjoyed them a lot.

Hello sheep

They met some sheep and fed them with dandelion leaves.

By the frog pond

As it was not so warm, there were not many frogs there.

Taking a walk

After picking up Momo-chan from daycare, they went for a walk. Momo-chan was up on a tree like this.

Can you guess which one Momo-chan has drawn? It's the one on the upper left corner.

Self portrait

Att the classroom, they draw their self portraits. Pinga was not impressed by Momo-chan as he just imitated what the boy next to him was drawing. Come on Momo-chan, be original!

School visit

Momo-chan went to visit his school for the second time. They gathered at 9am outside and planted sunflower seeds to their pots. Then went to the classroom.

New record: 9 hours

Momo-chan's sister sleeps a lot and for a long time. She slept record long 9 hours straight. The record before was 8 hours. Wow, good job!

Super siblings

Momo-chan's sister was sleeping in super hero pose and Momo-chan imitated that.

Library bus

Momo-chan loves to borrow books from the library and every Thursday the library bus stops nearby so they can borrow or return books.

Pinga's mother arrived!

Yesterday afternoon, Pinga's mother arrived at Copenhagen airport. Pingu and Momo-chan went to pick her up. Even though it was a long flight she was in a good mood. Pinga's mom brought so many things and in the photo you can see one of them, a new noren for the kitchen entrance.

Roof box storage - check!

They bought a roof box a week ago and now they have a storage solution so it does not have to be mounted on the car all the time.

10 weeks check-up

Twins were at 10 weeks check-up this morning. They were about the same size but Momo-chan's brother is a bit over 5 kg and his sister is a bit below 5 kg. They are growing nicely following the growth curve.

I'm home!

As usual, Momo-chan came back home and came straight to the babies. Here's Momo-chan saying hi to his little brother.

Uaezakura 八重桜

Sakura flowers are in full bloom in Lund now. They took a walk and there were beautiful yaezakura, double-flowered cherry trees, like this.

Window cleaning

Pingu looks pregnant like this these days in order to keep the babies happy. He does many household chores like this. This morning, he cleaned windows.

In the same bed

As Momo-chan's brother was not happy Pinga put him next to his sister to see if he gets happier. He was ok for a short while and then Pingu carried him with baby carrier.

Getting ready for school

Yesterday was the first time Momo-chan got to meet his to be teachers and class mates when he starts school this fall. The first year is actually just preparatory and is something in-between school and daycare. Yesterday they said hi to each other and also painted a pot. There will be two more visits this month.

Yesterday afternoon they all went for a walk and on the way they stopped to play a bit at this playground.

Morning nap

Here are twins sleeping. Momo-chan's sister slept very well this morning for 6 hours straight.

外で夕飯 Outside dinner

As it was sunny like summer with 25C degrees, they had dinner outside. It was Momo-chan's favourite, eel and rice.

Tickle tickle

They were at their friends place in the afternoon. Momo-chan and his friends were curious about babies. They were tickling her little feet.

Roof box

Because they are a big family now and they are expecting guests, more cargo space is needed. Yesterday Pingu went to buy this used roof box.

Frog hunting

On Thursday they all went to the frog pond to see if they could catch some frogs. There were frogs but they are good at hiding.
