Fat Tuesday

It's Fat Tuesday today and in Sweden they eat this sweet, semla. Pingu made them as Pinga liked them. For your info, this was Pinga's and QP-chan just had a bit of the bun.

"Give it to me!"

When QP-chan raise her voice, there's high chance Coco-chan is trying to take something she has or he has taken something already. Here's the twins fighting over a wrapping paper.

Bath time

It's usually Pinga bathing twins but she can't at the moment. Today was a bit special and Pinga's friend offered help to bathe them. Coco-chan enjoyed it more than QP-chan.

Clap your hands

QP-chan was almost clapping her hands so Momo-chan devised to show and help them how to do it. As you can see twins are almost always happy when big brother comes to play with them.

Birthday party

Momo-chan had a month early birthday party this afternoon. Fifteen kids came to join the party. Pinga came with twins to see how it was and they were having candies together. Momo-chan and friends had a lot of fun together. Good job Pingu and two other daddies who helped out!

One year old and one day

Here is the video of twins playing after lunch. Coco-chan seems to know how to use this walking wagon. Almost there Coco-chan! You can hear QP-chan talking happily too.

Ant and bee

They received wooden ant and bee by Brio. Do you remember one of the twins naming proposals was Brio and IKEA? Momo-chan liked that proposal.
Coco-chan and QP-chan found boxes as exciting as the contents.

Very first birthday presents

Twins turned one year old and they had a surprise visit from family friend. He came with birthday presents for the twins and also for Momo-chan as his birthday is next month. Very thoughtful!

White world

It snowed a lot during the night and they woke up to a white world. Momo-chan reluctantly joined the afternoon walk with twins but he enjoyed walking in the snow.
Snow was fallen off from trees and melting. Pinga was wondering how slippery it would be tomorrow.

Afternoon tea

Pinga hasn't been out much since the operation but she visited her Taiwanese friend this afternoon. Pinga's friend baked this heart cake.

Hello future friend

Pinga's colleague who lives close by came to visit with her kids. They've been talking about it since December but it took time to meet up as they have been sick too often. Here's Coco-chan and another baby. He was born in June but he is already bigger than the twins. His mom told Pinga he was born 57cm and 4.5kg. Wow, big baby!

Walking helper

As Coco-chan tries to stand up these days, Pinga thought it's a good idea to get one of these. Coco-chan seems to like it and Momo-chan too. Momo-chan put QP-chan and Coco-chan on it like this.

Pinga didn't take any photo today. It's not easy and quick enough to take photos with her hand that has a cast and she still needs to elevate her hand.

Cake x3

Japanese friends came for play date this afternoon. As usual they came with homemade cakes. So there were this many cakes!

Creative Momo-chan

Momo-chan came up with new way of pushing QP-chan. He was going around like this and Coco-chan was chasing them.

Dinner guest

After practicing tennis together, Momo-chan's best friend came for dinner. Twins had fun watching Momo-chan and his friend making funny faces.

Tennis Momo-chan

Well, this photo does not scream for tennis but Momo-chan was at his tennis lesson today. It was Pinga's first time seeing Momo-chan's tennis lesson. It was lead by three teenagers.
They played a game at the end of the session. They throw tennis balls to these orange and green balls so that they move towards opponents line. They had fun but Pinga wondered how this game relates to their tennis ability.

Pinga wondered what Coco-chan was doing just by QP-chan. It turned out to be buttons QP-chan's clothes have that made him quite focused.

After the operation

Pinga's hand was operated today to fix the ligament of thumb. She came back with this big thumb. She needs to elevate her hand higher than her heart for a week in order to avoid swelling. She is in much pain despite the anesthesia doctor gave.

Future friends?

Pinga went to see her friend and her six months baby this afternoon. They were all calm but Coco-chan was not so happy because of vaccination or lack of long nap.

One year checkup

Twins were at one year checkup this morning. QP-chan was 9.55kg, 75cm and Coco-chan was 8.69kg, 74.5kg. So they became taller but not much weight gain from a month ago. They got double vaccination shots in their thighs but they cried just a bit and didn't react for a long time. Let's hope they don't get fever from vaccination.

Sunny but cold

It was sunny with the temperature of 1 C degree. As there was almost no wind, it was a nice day. There's much snow left from snow fall last week.

Matching T-shirts

There were these cute T-shirts and other very nice gifts in the package.

Package from Taiwan

They received a package from Pinga's best friend in Taiwan. Twins were very curious when Pinga was opening it.

All kids sleeping

Momo-chan had to sit by himself but it was no problem. He fell asleep before taking off. Twins slept side by side like this as they couldn't receive bassinets this time.

Before taking off

Coco-chan and QP-chan fell asleep while they waited for their delayed flight. They had to leave baby stroller one hour before the departure time. Poor QP-chan woke up but Coco-chan continued to sleep. Their flight finally took off from the ground at 12. After walking in the baby carrier, QP-chan finally fell asleep at 1am.

Chinese New Year decorations

As there are big Chinese populations in Vancouver, the airport was decorated for Chinese New Year.

At the airport

It was not easy coming back from Vancouver as the flight from Vancouver to London was delayed for two hours. It was supposed to be around 21, instead their flight was at 23:30. So they spent time looking at fish and ate dinner at a restaurant.

Crêpe breakfast

They had crêpe for breakfast this morning. Pingu and Momo-chan picked the same, Nutella and strawberries. Pinga went for savory crêpe with prosciutto, tomato, Brie and so on.

Curious QP-chan

Momo-chan was playing a game and QP-chan was curiously looking into that. Coco-chan would have touched the screen but QP-chan was just looking at it.

Puyo puyo time

Momo-chan has been happy having puyo puyo, tapioca milk tea, for three days in a row. Yesterday's puyo puyo was a bit on hard side but today's one has perfect chewy texture.

House hunting

They went to see three housings. This is the harbor view from one of the places they visited. It's located 30th floor.

Up early

Yesterday was their first day in Vancouver. As jet lagged Coco-chan was up from 4:30 am and Momo-chan woke up at 6 am as well, Pinga decided to bathe them.
Around 5:30 pm, all the kids fell asleep in the car.

Standing and standing...

Coco-chan is getting better at standing. He was standing like this for more than ten minutes. Then he fell. It's important to make sure he is ok when he is falling.

Am I living in a box?

Coco-chan loves to explore. The other day, Pingu put him in the box and Coco-chan had a lot of fun.

Coco-chan style

Coco-chan is doing many things these days. When he is no longer very hungry he starts biting the spoon. Sometimes it becomes like this.

Seal and Mr. Panda

There was English lesson for Momo-chan this afternoon. There was a presentation by him and his teacher and it was titled "Seal and Mr. Panda's day". Momo-chan is talking more and more and it is nice to see him improve. Now if he would have the focus to sit still and listen, it would be awesome.

Friends visit

After school Momo-chan's favorite friend was visiting for play and dinner. They ate well and were happy together like this.

Standing Coco-chan

Coco-chan likes to stand up like this. He can stand for a longer time now.

At Hand Center

Pinga went to see a hand surgeon in Malmö this morning. The doctor examined her thumb and concluded she needs surgery to recover fully. The operation is booked on the 16th. The doctor told her it's a common injury with skiing. Pinga found "skier's thumb" at the bottom of this poster hanging on the wall of the doctor.
