Halloween decorated houses

Pinga told the twins if houses or entrance to the apartments were decorated for Halloween then they can go there for trick or treating. This house was nicely decorated but the candies left in front of the door were all gone.

Trick or treating in the evening

After dinner, Momo-chan left for Douglas Park for trick or treating. Pinga walked around with twins for trick or treating. Some hosts were dressed up nicely like this.

Trick or treating at the mall

Momo-chan was at this mall together with his classmates. Twins were there with their friends and their nanny. They received a lot of candies!

Coco-chan likes the tail

It’s Halloween

They are ready to leave for church playtime in their Halloween outfits. Coco-chan chose to be a cat, well, it's an wolf but he called it a cat and so... QP-chan is happy with her bee outfit.

Play-doh Coco-chan

When Pinga came back home, they were playing with play-doh. With the help of their nanny, he made this nice town and trains.

Sick QP-chan

QP-chan seems to be the most susceptible to Norovirus. She caught it again and was puking in the middle of the night. She was tired in the morning and lying on the sofa like this.

Playground after the rain

Pinga took them out for a walk with the stroller in the hope of getting them to take a nap. When she turned one corner, QP-chan demanded to go straight. They wanted to go to school playground. Pinga tried to convince them that it's too wet to play there as it was raining just 5 minutes ago. QP-chan got very upset and Pinga took them there. They we're reluctant to play as the things were wet. They did not fall asleep and they went back home after an hour.

Bumblebees

QP-chan had a bumblebee costume and her friend had one too. They looked like this together. Cute!

Halloween event at community centre

Same as last year, they went to Coal Harbour community centre for the Halloween event. There were many stations for different activities. Here's Coco-chan decorating a cookie. He got face painting done on his cheek. He chose Lighting McQueen from Cars.

Science world

Twins were at the science world. They are familiar with small kids corner and ran to the section they liked.

Momo-chan & Coco-chan profile

 Momo-chan was very much into watching Hotel Transilvania. Coco-chan watched it a bit too.

Balloon art

She was making flowers and fishing pole with a fish for kids. She could speak a bit of Japanese and Pinga asked if she has studied. She said she learned both Japanese and balloon art from YouTube. Wow!

Halloween event

There was a Halloween event at Pingu's work. They said kids were welcome so they went. There were pumpkin painting, balloon art and face painting.

Church playtime

Twins are finally healthy. They were at church for playtime. It's usually QP-chan who is interested in this baby doll but today Coco-chan was interested in it too.

Yellow leaves

They went to buy flour and veggies before dinner. On the way back, Pinga wanted to take a photo of twins with yellow leaves. Coco-chan posed for her but QP-Chan wanted to take a photo instead of being in it.

Big swing

QP-chan was on a big swing and Coco-chan pushed it for her. Here you can see the video.

Stanley park

Although a bit cold, it was not raining so they went to a playground by the Second Brach in Stanley Park. Coco-chan likes cars and today he was wearing a shirt with a fire truck on it.

Small pink chalk

QP-chan was a bit sad that there was only this small pink chalk in the box. She said "Pink chiisai (small)." Pinga will get a new pink chalk soon.

Seminar at BCIT

 Pinga went to a seminar on ADHD held by the Institute of Child Psychology. The lecturer was originally from South Africa living in Calgary. Participants are mainly parents but about 10% was educators. The lady sat next to Pinga was a daycare owner who takes care of kids from 2.5 to 9 years old. It covered many topics from brain development, medication, screen time, results of different kinds of research, etc. Ping thought it was a good seminar.

Getting ready for Halloween!

 Pingu found this wolf outfit for Coco-chan in California as he was there for a business trip. Coco-chan asked "Kuma (bear)?" to Pinga before he put it on. QP-chan is in love with her bee outfit. Pinga borrowed this Power Ranger Dino Thunder outfit for Momo-chan and Mario for Coco-chan from her friend. There is Luigi as well but QP-chan didn't show much interest. There will be a Halloween event coming up on Saturday.

It’s tasty = Oishii

QP-chan likes cheese bread a lot. After eating it as an afternoon snack, she was saying Oishii many times.

Carrying Momo-chan

Then Momo-chan carried QP-chan together with the backpack like this.

QP-chan wanted to carry Momo-chan's backpack. Although it was on the heavy side, QP-chan was carrying and walking for a while.

Fire truck

Hey we're on their way to pick Momo-Chan up from his after school care. One of the fire trucks was parked outside so they got excited. QP-chan wanted to touch and Coco-chan was trying to stop her from touching it. Pinga told them it's ok to touch.

Finding squirrels

Twins were feeling better with less coughs so they went to Stanley park. They were happy finding squirrels.

Mexican lunch with view

As Pinga and Pingu work near by, they had lunch together. Tacofino makes good crunchy chicken burrito. They ate at Pingu's office on the 12th floor.

At the platform

Their nanny took them to a playground in Chinatown. On the way back, they took a train and they got very excited like this. They like to read a book about trains in Japan and are looking forward to be on Shinkansen.

Cleaning Coco-chan

Coco-chan somehow likes sweeping a lot. Whenever Pinga starts sweeping, Coco-chan comes and takes the broom away from her. If she doesn't give it to him, he gets very upset. QP-chan is not so interested in sweeping.

They came back home and twins were very curious about the skis.

Ski sale event

Last year Momo-chan and Pinga did season rental for their skis. This year, they decided to purchase. So they went to this ski sale event at PNE. Momo-chan tried several boots and decided on these Salomon ones. His size is 22cm. Momo-chan is growing!

Indoor activities

As both of them are having cold, they spent time indoor this morning. QP-chan got much better than yesterday but still not so good and she said "Samii (cold)" many times. Coco-chan is coughing.

Sick QP-chan

QP-chan became very sick early in the morning. She puked and has fever. She was sleeping on the couch like this in the morning. Poor QP-chan.

Red leaves

 It's getting colder and leaves are changing colours. Trees along the West Georgia Street is getting red. Here are the twins modelling for their nanny.

Coco-chan these days 最近のここちゃん

Coco-chan has been just sweet but since last week, he says "Yada  (No)" and "Chigau (Nope/Not that)" very often. Yes, he has entered the rebellious phase. Pinga and Pingu are wondering how long it would last. Other than that, Coco-chan talks a lot and has a good vocabulary. He speaks clearer than QP-chan so it's easier to understand. He is good at using the potty when he wants to. He loves eating noodles. He likes Nutella French toast in the morning. He never fails to close doors when it's open. That is something similar to Momo-chan.
ここちゃんは先週から第一次反抗期に突入しました。最近はよく「やだ！」「ちがう」と言います。いつまで続くんでしょうね。その他はというとここちゃんはよく喋り、語彙も豊富です。QPちゃんよりはっきりしゃべるので理解しやすいです。おまるも使いたいときには上手に使います。麺類を食べるのが好きです。ヌテラを塗ったフレンチトーストも好きです。扉が開いていると必ず閉めます。そんなところはももちゃんに似ています。

Church playtime

Wednesday is their church day. Their nanny said that QP-chan became even more active and talked to other people. Coco-chan was still a bit shy.

Volunteer at TechVan event

Pinga was volunteering at TechVan event. It's a networking event with tech related speeches. Pinga finds it fun to meet new people and learn about new things.

Bubble bath

Pinga was out doing volunteering tonight. After sushi dinner, they had bubble bath together. 

Fall colours

It was sunny so they were at Stanley park. They said "Samui/Samii (cold)" at the beginning but after a short walk, they were fine.

Lunch with Pingu

Momo-chan went to do some testing today. Pingu took him and after that they had lunch together. Momo-chan's was miso ramen and Pingu chose ginger ramen. 

Science World again

When Pingu came back from Phoenix, Pinga was not feeling well. On Monday he took all kids to science World. They enjoyed it. Here the twins are building with wooden blocks. 

Bouldering twins

Pinga took twins out for a walk so that they could take a nap. They were not sleepy and demanded that they go to school playground. So they did. Twins can do quite many things and they could climb up like this in the video.

Play date

They had guests over for tea and play date. Twins had fun with younger guests and Momo-chan had fun with older boys.

QP-chan in the box

Pinga replaces one of the toy boxes with newly arrived diaper box. Then QP-chan just went in like this. I thought it's me who loves boxes and bags but obviously QP-chan does too.

Science world

As it was rainy this morning, they went to Science World. They had much fun trying out many things.

Bath time fun

Momo-chan found bathing with twins fun. So he bathes with them often these days. Twins enjoys it too. As Pingu is away, Momo-chan sleeps together with twins and Pinga.

As it was sunny, they went to Stanley Park in the morning. They looked for a squirrel hand in hand.

Peanut butter Momo-chan

Momo-chan and Pinga went to find Halloween outfits for twins last Saturday. They didn't find anything for twins but Momo-chan found this and tried it on. There is jelly bin hanging behind him. If twins were tall enough to wear these, could have been fun outfits.

Phoenix office view

Phoenix is typically sunny and warm (it is desert country after all). So far it has rained quite a bit and lots of flood warnings. Sand does not absorb water well so streets get flooded and people can get stuck in their cars. Pingu is working hard so most of the time he is not aware of the weather outside.

Twins joined the parachute time for the first time.
