Ski school - Day 1

Twins joined ski school today. They seemed to have enjoyed the day and the teacher said they worked hard. She also mentioned twins were good at making friends with other kids.

Arrived in Ishiuchi

After 2.5 hours of driving, they arrived in Ishiuchi. It was a long drive with eight people in the car for seven seater.

Preparing for new year

Twins went to help Pinga's mom to set up new year decoration.

Christmas cake

Here's Pinga's sister and the kids cutting the cake. Pinga's sister made a cake that is similar to black forrest cake.

Feeding goats and sheep

They stayed at mini zoo for about three hours. Last activity was to feed carrots to animals. Goats and sheep love carrots and very eager to eat them. The zoo staff told Pings carrots are treats for them as they don't usually get them.

Guinea pig petting

They went to petting zoo. There were goats, sheep, pony, rabbits and guinea pigs. They could pet guinea pigs like this. QP-chan had Chiffon and Coco-chan had  Cush. Chiffon was active and Cush was calm.

Strawberries

As Coco-chan wanted to eat strawberries, Pinga's mom bought them for the kids. They enjoyed them a lot.

Swinging twins

It was cold but very sunny. So they went to a playground. QP-chan doesn't need help but Coco-chan needs Pings to push from behind.

Seesaw twins

It's almost a routine to go to playground with twins. 

Hmm, what to buy?

Pinga thought it really looks like Coco-chan was checking out ads to see what to buy.

Dog lover QP-chan

QP-chan and Pinga went to playground as Coco-chan didn't want to go out again. On the way home, they met this cute Shiba Inu, Yuzu. She was very well behaving and QP-chan and Pinga fell in love with her.

Mask twins

Pinga bought cute kids masks for twins. They wore them to the playground.

Oh no, shark!

The shark are my hand! says Coco-chan with smiley face. Self quarantine period lasts for two weeks so twins are playing at home.

Cousins fun

Twins are having fun with their cousins. They can talk and play with their older cousins now.

Scoob!

Twins for hooked up with Scooby-Doo movie on the flight from Frankfurt. They didn't fall asleep until 11 pm.

At CPH

They are at Copenhagen airport now to board the flight to Frankfurt. There are not so many people at the airport and some shops are closed.

Lucia day

It was twins Lucia day at daycare. They had these outfits on. Unfortunately parents couldn't attend the event because of Covid situation. 

Cats guarding?

When Momo-chan was about to leave for school, they were at the entrance like this.

Twins dance finale

It was the last round of twins dance lesson so families got to see what they have been learning. They've shown different kinds of dances such as swing, samba, polka, etc. Good job kids!

Good morning Ines

Here's just woke up sleepy QP-chan saying hi to Ines. She is wearing clothes as she had an operation yesterday.

Vision check for Coco-chan

Coco-chan had to do the vision check again as it was unclear if he has good enough vision from the previous check at four-year-old check up. The nurse said he couldn't sometimes tell H or T so she will contact eye doctor so that they could call him for further check.

Carry me = Dakko shite

On the way back home from daycare, Coco-chan asked Pinga to carry him. Then QP-chan said I can do that! So here is QP-chan carrying Coco-chan. But it was maybe just five seconds or so.

Cozy cats

Simba and Ines like to be together. They were sleeping like this on the sofa in the evening.

Matching outfits

Momo-chan and Coco-chan were wearing matching Minion pajamas. They noticed that and started to dance together. Here's the link to the movie.

Hospital checkup

Coco-chan was at monthly checkup with pediatrician this morning. He has less symptoms now but still gets occasional pain and rash. He is so used to hospital visits and got compliments by the doctor for handling it well.

Gingerbreads in the oven

All the kids helped out making gingerbread this morning. They were all looking into the oven and eager to try them.

Getting ready for Christmas

Twins wanted to try their Christmas themed outfits. QP-chan wants to wear gingerbread girl outfit too.

Sleeping Momo-chan

After seven ours with boy scout, Momo-chan came home like this. He fell asleep in the electric bike and was sleeping at the entrance. He had fun rolling down the hill and his yellow overall almost changed the color.

Let's paint!

While Momo-chan was out in the nature with scout, twins wanted to paint. They did good job drawing and colouring their pictures.

Cuddling with cats

While they were watching movies, Simba was lying on the sofa and Ines joined. QP-chan and Coco-chan came to pet them. After a week, the cats seem to be accustomed and became comfortable with their new family.

Snow fun

It was snowing Thursday evening and Momo-chan and Coco-chan started to play outside. QP-chan also joined for snowman making. Twins were frustrated as they couldn't do it so well like Momo-chan.

Penguin walk Coco-chan

Coco-chan was walking like a penguin on his way to daycare.

His questions in the morning was: Where are all these items at home come from? Chairs, plates, mugs, toys, etc.

So they were talking about furniture factory, ceramic factory, etc.

Curious Ines

You cannot leave things open as the girl cat, Ines, goes there to check it out. She was checking out dish washer and kitchen bench in the morning.

Run to the daycare

They switched their knit hats and Coco-chan was a raindeer and QP-chan, a penguin.

Baking projects

Pinga did lots of baking this afternoon. First, pear tart and then gingerbread french style. Gingerbread got good review from Momo-chan.

Swinging with friends

When Pinga came to pick twins up, they were on the swings with their friends. They seem to enjoy daycare time.

Overall Momo-chan

Momo-chan goes to boyscout on Monday evenings. As it was very cold, he put his new overall on.

Hello cats!

They drove an hour to check out the cats. The owners thought they were ok so they came back with two cats. One was born in February and the other in March. Pingu and Pinga think one of them look just like me. The owner said he likes to eat.

Birthday cake time

After the lunch in town, they came back home to have cake together with Pingu's sister and her family. The cake was Pingu's favourite apple meringue cake.

Frosty and foggy morning

It was 2C degrees at 9 am. Just when they went out of the house to go to daycare, their friend came biking. Because of Covid, they haven't been able to meet. Pinga found this brief meeting very nice.

Off to school

Here's Momo-chan biking to school this morning. On Thursdays, he needs to be there by 8 to catch the bus. He woke up at 7:30 and it was still kind of dark. 

4-year-old development check up

Twins were at the health center for a 4-year-old check up. It started at 8:15 and they rashed out home and Pinga forgot her phone at home. Children's nurse checked their height, weight, hearing, vision, speech, balance, etc. Twins thought it was fun. Pinga found out how much Swedish they can speak after spending three months at daycare. QP-chan is 109 cm and 18.2 kg. Coco-chan is 107 cm and 16.5 kg. Here is the photo of the pictures they have drawn during the check up. The nurse asked them to draw a person and an X.

Overall on!

It was rainy and cold (4C) this morning so Pinga decided it's time for the twins to have overalls. They said they are too warm but they became happy to have them once they went outside of the house.

Rockband

Kids tried the game Rockband this afternoon. Drum seemed to be the most popular instrument. They enjoyed it much.

Shopping Momo-chan

Momo-chan and Pinga went to buy his indoor exercise shoes. They couldn't find one that works for him but did some grocery shopping. Pinga was a bit disappointed by how limited shoes selections are for kids in Sweden or Lund.

Here are twins this morning. It was not raining but cold with 4C degrees. They say goodbye to Pinga at the entrance as parents are no longer allowed in the daycare building. It has been like that since the beginning of November.

Lavin at brewery

There was this cat Lavin at the brewery. There used to be Pax but he is at home these days. Kids were happy to see the cat but the cat seemed to be a bit annoyed by all the attention. Here's video of the dancing boys.

Visiting brewery

They went to buy drinks and also checked out brewery. The brewery, Pax brygghus, was started by Pingu's former colleague. That was why they could see the backside of the brewery.

Let's go to Hawai'i

Pinga brought this suitcase into the house. QP-chan was driving this around and said "Follow me! I'll go to Hawai'i!"
