Toshikoshi soba

They had tempura soba, soba noodle with tempura, for dinner as it's a japanese tradition to have noodle for new year's eve. Kids liked shrimp tempura a lot.

Big Christmas tree

Twins found this big Christmas tree and got excited as i reminded them of Vancouver.

Onesie kids

They love to be in these fluffy onesies these days.

Ice skating

Pingu took the twins to a nearby pond as it was frozen. They heard that there were many people ice skating the day before but there were no others. Here's the movie of them skating.

Sledding twins

Christmas day dinner

Pinga made sushi rolls and their Japanese guest came with chicken karaage. Also, she made churros for the kids. Very nice!

Cousins time

Momo-chan's favourite cousin can play the guitar and he showed them how to play.

Christmas lunch

They were invited to Pingu's brother's place for a Christmas lunch. It was niveöy doke with very many dishes.

Christmas afternoon

After the lunch and watching Disney animation, they drove back to Lund and went to Pingu's sister's place for dinner. It was nice to spend some time together.

Detective game

This is their recent favourite board game. Kids like it a lot and playing it everyday.

Unicorn QP-chan

QP-chan received this unicorn onesie from Pinga and Pingu. Momo-chan got the wave board. Coco-chan received a clothes for his favourite stuffed seal.

Present from Santa Claus

QP-chan woke up last and found her presents on her bed. Here she is opening her gifts. They were memory game and Moomin jigsaw puzzles.

Santa came!

Coco-chan woke up first among the kids. He found a present from Santa by his pillow. He was so happy to receive the gift he wished for.

Climbing QP-chan

QP-chan is athletic and she can climb like this with no problem. She became a bit nervous when Momo-chan came under her though.

Grave setting

One more reason for gathering was to put Pingu's uncle's urn to the ground. He passed away more than a year ago but it couldn't be done as they couldn't travel from Canada because of Covid situation.

Relative gathering

Pingu's cousin and her family are visiting from Ottawa and they gathered together for lunch. Momo-chan enjoyed salmon dish a lot.

Sleeping together

When Pinga went to check on the twins, she found Inez as well. They were sleeping together like this. Inez is such a cozy cat.

Model QP-chan

QP-chan usually chooses her clothes by herself and Saturday was no exceptions. Then she asked Pinga to take her photo. Pinga didn't say anything but she just pauses like this. Her future occupation can be a model?

Christmas crafts

Twins made Christmas trees, Santa and snowman at daycare. Very nice!

Arrived at daycare

Here's twins arrived at daycare this morning.

Aikido Momo-chan

Momo-chan came back happy as he received 12 kyu for Aikido. Good job, Momo-chan!

Decorating cookies

After baking the cookies, they had fun decoratiing them.

They made cookies after daycare. They had fun spreading it out but it became too thin so Pinga had to do it.

Saint Lucia day

December 13 is saint Lucia day. Twins dressed up for the event at daycare. They sang songs and ate saffran buns and ginger bread.

Here's QP-chan putting raising onto the already risen dough. Then they went into the oven.

They did saffran buns baking in the afternoon. It went well but the first batch was a bit over baked.

Sledding そり遊び

It snowed whole day on Friday. So it was time to go sledding. They met their twin friends from daycare and four of them had much fun.

Snowy morning

It was snowing and it snowed all day. On their way to daycare, they met a guide dog with the owner. She was about to put on his harness. She told them gently that they are not supposed to talk to him while wearing harness as he is working. Pinga checked what's the etiquettes when dealing with guide dogs. Some of then are below:

1. Please don't touch, talk, feed or otherwise distract the dog while he is wearing his harness or vest.

2. Don't treat the dog as a pet; give him the respect of a working dog.

3. Speak to the handler, not the dog.

Sleepy morning

As usual, Coco-chan was up before QP-chan. They were watching something and Inez joined them on the sofa.

Snow lantern

Their neighbor came out and showed the kids how to make a snow lantern. It looks beautiful when it is lit, don't you think?

Elsa QP-chan

They were listening to Let it be from the movie Frozen. QP-chan changed into Elsa outfit. Then found a blanket and used it as a cloak.

Christmas present

A big box arrived from Pinga's work. It's a Christmas present. QP-chan found a bottle of wine, chocolate, pink ribbon to support fight against breast cancer and an advent calendar. Very nice!

Sewing QP-chan

QP-chan was at home as she was having cold. She said to Pinga that she wanted to sew. So they decided to make a bag. Here's QP-chan working hard at sewing straight line.

Icy road

QP-chan went to daycare as she recovered enough. She was interested in ice and picking them up on the way to daycare. It sounded crispy when they walked as it was icy.

At home with Inez

Twins were at home as they were sick. QP-chan loves to pet Inez and be with her. Inez sometimes gets irritated by the kids but both cats are very torelant with kids.

Zzz in the afternoon

Pinga was working from home as QP-chan had stomachache. She stood up from the chair and it was occupied by Totoro. He likes her chair and usually there.

4:30 pm and dark

It snowed during the night. Then it was raining during the day so the snow melted and became ice. Åinga took this photo when she picked twins up around 4 pm. Winter has come.

Birthday celebration

No, it wasn't Coco-chan's birthday but it was Pingu's. He was happy with his favorite apple meringue cake. His sister and the family came to celebrate.

QP-chan was coughing and at home but today, she could go to daycare together with Coco-chan. It's getting cold and dark these days.

Ramune time

Here's Momo-chan opening Ramune bottle. It was not easy pressing down the glass ball. They liked peach and yuzu tastes.

Frosty morning

It was minus 2 C degrees in the morning. As Coco-chan had fever on Saturday, he stayed home and only QP-chan went to daycare. Highest temperature of the day was 4 C degrees.

Forest adventure

Twins go every other Sunday to this outdoor adventure activities. Pingu is a leader for this activity and taking care of 14 kids who are 5 years old. Pingu and Coco-chan were sick at home so Pibga took QP-chan there. Two hours in 7 C degrees must have been cold. QP- chan had fun but told Pinga it was cold.

Baby cat Brutus

Coco-chan had fever and missed going to a  birthday party. QP-chan and Momo-chan went together with Pinga. There was this five months old baby cat. He is very cuddly and played with guests.

Whiteboard disaster

Pinga's office is moving and the company is getting rid of some things. So they went to pick up an office chair and a whiteboard. This glass whiteboard shuttered without dropping or hitting something. It went into thousand pieces and was very difficult to clean afterward. Sad outcome of the very fragile whiteboard...

Same position

When Pinga looked into the bed room, Totoro was on the same position as QP-chan's stegosaurus. It was a bit funny and she tool this photo.

Coco-chan at eye doctor

Coco-chan went to eye doctor for check-up. The doctor said he doesn't need to come back as the result was good. When the school starts, there will be eye check.

Cat ninjas

Twins became cat ninjas. Pinga was asked to ignore them as they were supposed to be very quiet and invisible.

Grave completed

Pingu's father's grace stone was set up and the day has come to set his urn there. Here's Momo-chan helping Pingu's sister send it down to the ground. The grave was set up nicely in Lund so that they can visit whenever they want.

Pomegranate juice

Kids liked pomegranate. Momo-chan came up with the idea of making pomegranate juice. But the work was done by QP-chan. The juice was splashing to everywhere!

Sick twins

QP-chan was off from daycare on Monday as she was having cold. Today, Coco-chan stayed home as well as he started to cough. It seems to be many people are sick these days.
