Shabu shabu dinner

Pingu had a bad day yesterday so he comforted himself by eating one of his favourite dishes, shabu shabu. It was a bit expensive but it was all you can eat meat.

Tree with white fruits

Pinga is curious about this interesting looking tree with white fruits/flowers. Hope her friends would help her find out what it is.

Sunny but cold

As it was unusually sunny, Pinga went out for a walk. It was not windy but cold, 1C degrees. Can you see two horses wearing coat?

Tokyo blues

Not Pingu's day today:
1. It is raining and it is very windy in Tokyo today.

2. The umbrella he bought today broke a couple of hours later and it is still raining.
3. Pingu's work computer is not doing good and it can not be fixed until monday.
4. Due to computer problem he was late and is still in Shinagawa and can not go to Tokiwadai tonight to visit Pinga's parents.
5. Still has not eaten dinner and will now have to do that alone on a Friday.

Tengu

Pingu went to have some drinks after dinner. Tengu is a nice place and the interior is typical of a Tokyo bar. Good stuff. Pingu is drinking a shikwasa sour at the moment.

Sushi nostalgia

Pingu went to eat at his old favourite sushi bar. You stand up and eat by the counter. You can never eat this good or inexpensive sushi in Sweden.

Shimbashi concert

Pingu went to Shimbashi for some dinner. When he arrived there was a huge crowd by the station. The reason was a band playing. You can maybe make the band out by the right edge of the photo.

Double Totoro?

Pinga thinks I'm similar to this animation movie character Totoro. But I don't think I'm as fat as Totoro, am I?

Shinagawa morning

Pingu just woke up in his hotel in Shinagawa, Tokyo. His room is on the 17th floor and it is tidy and nice.

Shinagawa yakitori

Pingu and several colleagues are in Tokyo at the same time so many of them met up at a Japanese style pub and had food and drinks. They will sleep well tonight I think.

Landed!

Pingu has now landed at Narita and is on the Skyliner train to downtown Tokyo. The Narita Express train was stopped due to some accident.

Asparagus from Peru

This is Pinga's dinner today. As Pinga loves asparagus, she is happy to find these asparagus from Peru. She has learned that Peru is the world's leading asparagus exporter. It's oven baked potato, asparagus, tomato, halloumi cheese with tomato sauce. I wonder what has Pingu eaten on the plane.

Pingu is going to Tokyo

Pingu is leaving us at home and going to Tokyo. We want to come too but I guess we will have to wait. I hope Pingu will have fun, even though it is a business trip.

Cottage pie

With the help of Pingu mashing potatoes, Pinga made a cottage pie this evening. Pinga was happy that it turned out ok.

Olof Viktors bakery

On the way back from Ystad, they stopped by to buy breads at Olof Viktors. They didn't have olive bread Pingu and Pinga like but they had a fig bread and saffron buns for this season. They bought a loaf of fig bread, dark bread, saffron buns and cardamon buns.

Ystad beach

The spa hotel Pingu and Pinga have stayed was just by the beach. After they checked out from the hotel, they took a walk along the beach. There were lots of sea weed and birds were eating them.

Schnapps

There were mini bottles of strong Swedish liquor on the table. Both Pingu and Pinga stayed away from them though.

Dinner show

There was a show after the Christmas dinner. The show had a Grease theme to it. They sang very well and their dance moves were interesting. You can see three Elvis and three Marilin on stage on this photo.

Christmas buffet

Pingu and Pinga had nice Christmas buffet dinner with Pinga colleagues. Pingu liked meatballs and Pinga liked salmon dish.

Sleepy...

Pingu and Pinga are awake and preparing themselves to leave for work. I'm still sleepy and don't feel like to wake up. I know it's morning but it's still kind of dark.

Baby clothes

Pingu and Pinga were at a baby section of the store looking for presents to their friend. They were also thinking of their own little baby that will come in spring.

Happy happy birthday

Pingu received this cute birthday card from Pinga's sister and her husband today. Pingu was surprised to find a message in Swedish on the back of the card. Very sweet!

Kimpira gobou

Pinga is focused on eating lots of fiber these days. She made this Japanese dish with svartrot and carrot. It would have been tastier with less ginger.

Pet me attack in the morning

Pingu was sitting in front of his computer so I jumped onto the desk and lay in front of him. I was quick:-)

Marzipan animals

At the bakery, they're selling these marzipan animals for Christmas. Pinga thought this cat one is cute. But I think I'm cuter.

Brunch at Entré

Pingu and I were still sleeping but Pinga has left for Malmö to meet her friend. As they haven't eaten breakfast, they had this shrimp open sandwich before doing shopping.

Birthday gift from Stockholm

Pingu received some very nice flowers and tasty chocolate on his birthday from his family. They do not live in Lund so it came by delivery. Such a sweet family!

Birthday dinner

Pinga took Pingu to TGIF for dinner.

Pingu's birthday

Pingu has started his day with birthday presents and a cake. Pingu liked the chocolate apple cake Pinga has baked.

Fruits morning

Pinga is trying to eat healthy and there are many fruits at home these days. Kiwi from Italy, tangerine, Canadian apple Spartan, and Japanese apple mutsu. Pingu and Pinga had a kiwi and Spartan this morning. 

Dinner after Japanese class

Pingu and his friend went to their Japanese class. While they were studying Pinga went to hairsalon. Pinga was not so happy with her new hair style. They had dinner at a Danish restaurant chain.

Pizza at Vespa

Pingu and Pinga had pizza lunch. Pinga was thinking of her Italian friend.

Party!

Pingu and pinga had a combined birthday and late moving in party yesterday. It was lots of fun! Plenty of empty bottles to take care of today.

Keyboard can be a pillow

Pingu was vacuum cleaning the house. I evacuated to Pinga. Pinga was a bit annoyed when I lay in between the keyboard and her and started pushing some keys.

Postcard from Italy

Pinga became very happy receiving this beautiful postcard from her friend in Italy.

Many mutsu apples

Pinga and Pingu are happy with these tasty Japanese apples. They have nice yellow orange colour to them when they are ripe.

Swine flu vaccination

Pingu and Pinga got their swine flu vaccination shot today. There was a line but it moved pretty quickly.

Big mutsu apple

Pinga got very nice Japanese apples from her colleague today. They are big and some of them are really big! It smelled very nice too!

Christmas decoration

Pingu and Pinga went to have lunch in town with their friend. They saw people setting up Christmas decoration on the streets.

Panna cotta

Pinga made mushroom risotto snd Pingu made this panna cotta for their guests.

Cat mobile gift

Pingu and Pinga had friends over for afternoon tea. They got this cat mobile as a gift. The friends had noticed that Pingu and Pinga really liked it when they were at their place and therefore made one for Pingu and Pinga. Nice!

Scones

Pinga baked scones. It smelled nice and Pinga thought it tasted good. But it didn't get a good review from Pingu.

Yellow leaf

Pinga's colleague took this photo of a very yellow leaf a week ago. Pinga thought it's a beautiful yellow color.
Now it's been raining almost all day for two days and those fallen leafs are wet and it's not nice for Pingu and Pinga to bike. Also, because it's raining I don't want to go out for a walk. We need a sunny (or not rainy is fine) day!

Cat mobile

Pingu and Pinga were visiting Pinga's colleague and his family this afternoon. They had this cute cat mobile hanging in their daughter's room.

Sleeping in the middle

I like to sleep. I like to sleep a lot, just like Pingu and Pinga. I think it is natural to sleep wherever I want. As you can see I am king of the bed and Pinga just has to move. She is not too happy about me lying on her side.

Nagasaki champon

Pinga made Japanese noodle for dinner. It's vegetables and meat on crispy noodle. A bit of vinegar added extra taste to it.

Ginger bread house

Pingu and Pinga was at their friends place for dinner. Pinga found this cute ginger bread house with a Santa on the chimney. Christmas is approaching.

What's up pho?

Pinga made tasty vietnamese soup noodles. They are called pho. Not only tasty but really inexpensive too.

Frosty!

It is quite cold in Lund right now. This morning it was frost on the grass when Pingu and Pinga biked to work.

Me or computer?

I was happy that Pinga was at home today but she was just working. So I jumped onto the desk and came in between Pinga and the keyboard. So this was me looking at Pinga and saying that I needed attention and she petted me :)
