Present from Tokyo

Momo-chan opened his last birthday present this morning. It was shinkansen train and rails. Here he is taking them out from the box.

Flight paths

Pingu and Momo-chan was walking home from daycare some days ago and the sky was blue and clear. Momo-chan looked up and noticed many het streams from aircrafts above.

Heavy lifting?

Last bath time Momo-chan wanted to show that he could lift the basin by himself.

Innovative footwear

Pingu was preparing for trash collection day when Momo-chan came in and took two of the compacted milk cartons and turned them into slippers. Clever Momo-chan!

Watering flowers

Mono-chan came back home and he wanted to water plants again. Here's Momo-chan watering rose bush.

Apple jam in monaka りんごジャム最中

ももちゃんは最中の皮が好きだけれどあんこは気分次第で食べたり食べなかったり。ピンガが最中の皮の中に自家製りんごジャムを挟んだら気に入り、今日もりんごジャム!とリクエストして作ってもらいました。
Monaka is a Japanese sweet. It usually has red bean paste inside. They received a monaka gift and it is make your own monaka set. So the skin and red bean paste contents are in different package. Momo-chan likes crispy monaka skin but not so fond of red bean paste. So Pinga put homemade apple jam inside and he likes it a lot.

Momo-chan came back home and found Pinga inside the house. Then this was what he did to Pinga. How nice...

桜咲く Sakura blooming

Sakura flowers in Lund have started to bloom. Pinga is planning a hanami lunch with colleagues next week.

水仙の川 Flower river of narcissus

On the way back from town, Pinga passed by a field and the was this narcissus river. Although cold, spring is approaching for sure.

Easter approaching

It's easter this weekend avd many houses and shops have this kind of easter decorations.

Lime panna cotta

Pingu made chicken dish and this dessert. It was very tasty. Momo-chan mainly are blueberries though.

Swinging

It was a strange changing weather today but they were out for a bit when it was not raining.

Playdate

Momo-chan's friend from daycare came to play for two hours in the afternoon. They had lots of fun with pirates outfit.

Trying salad leaf together

Little brother to Momo-chan's friend is almost one year old. Momo-chan gave me a salad leaf to try. He was curious but didn't like it much.

Playdate

In the afternoon, Momo-chan's friend came to visit. Although they have not met for a long time, they played together rather well.

Family gymnastics

Monocacy and Pinga were at the gym exercising this morning. Momo-chan likes to run around. Also he very much like to use a hanging rope and swing like a Tarzan.

Watering flowers

Momo-chan insisted to water flowers even though Pinga explained they got enough water from the rain. So Pinga put some water in the watering can and he was happily watering them.

Greener and greener

They came back from daycare and Pinga noticed that the garden is getting greener and greener. Momo-chan wanted to swing by the swing was wet from the rain.

Socks ocean

After enjoyed strawberries and cocktail tomatoes, he set socks evenly and stated swimming among them. Here's Momo-chan saying I'm a shark!

Momo-chan enjoyed strawberries after dinner. He used to say gubbar instead of jordgubbar but now he can. He couldn't say ichigo before either but today he could. Momo-chan is growing.

Handmade earrings

By using ceramic balls bought in Poland, Pinga made these earrings this evening. Very nice!

Pinga bought these colorful plates in Katowice. Mono-chan was helping out removing stickers from them.

Macaroon Momo-chan

Pinga found macaroons at a chocolate shop in Krakow. Together with Momo-chan, she enjoyed them.Momo-chan liked this mango macaroon.

Haircut time

The plan was to get a haircut in Poland but they didn't have time do they decided to get Momo-chan a haircut now that they came back.

Ice cream time

Momo-chan enjoyed ice cream after lunch. Pinga picked chocolate, cherry avd yogurt flavor for him. Pinga showed him earrings she bought and he liked them.

Pierogi lunch

They went to have lunch at a pierogi restaurant. Momo-chan enjoyed it. Punga fit a bit disjointed as it was a bit blunt.

Easter preparation

Att the main square in Krakow, they started to prepare for easter. They put those decorations.

Makkurokurosuke from Totoro

After watching my neighbor Totoro, Momo-chan tried to catch dust bunny (Makkurokurosuke).

Blueberry pierogi

For breakfast, Pinga cooked pierogi with blueberry. Their expectation was high but it was so so. Momo-chan didn't like it so Pingu put on a bit of sugar and he said it tasted better.

Shindler's factory museum

Exhibition at the museum was about the days in Krakow from 1939 to the end of WWII. It handles about the life in Jewish ghetto and one of the concentration camps, and so on. It reminded Pinga of Museum of tolerance in Los Angeles.

Guys' dinner

While the ladies went for dinner out on the town, the guys went for some Polish fast food. Here is Momo-chan trying out a typical open sandwich with melted cheese.

John Paul II

The late bishop John Paul II used to be the bishop of Krakow. This is the bishop's house where he stayed whenever he came back to visit.

Across the river Wisła

After lunch, they walked to Oscar Shindler's factory museum. It was a bit of walk but the weather was nice and sunny.

Kazimiertz (Jewish quarter)

They walked over to the Jewish quarter. As Momo-chan was on the stroller most of the time during the walking tour he had lots of energy. This area was used as a filming location for the movie Shindler's list.

On the canon

Momo-chan found this canon at university building. Here he is sitting happily on it.

Windy like in Lund

In the morning it was cold and windy. So Pinga let Momo-chan have her scarf.

The dragon

Below the castle they finally reached the dragon. Momo-chan was excited to meet it after being promised that there would be a dragon at the end of the tour.

Wawel castle

Tour continued avd the last destination was Wawel castle. It was big and beautiful. Very much inspired by Italian renaissance.

Free walking tour

They hurried to the main square to join this walking tour. She was a good guide and the tour lasted for two hours.

Today they saw many horse carriages. Momo-chan likes horses so he was happy.

Apartment hotel

Pinga found a nice apartment hotel close to the old town. It's nicely decorated and very clean. Here's Momo-chan enjoying the spacious bathroom.

Salmon with caviar

They had dinner at a nice restaurant. Pinga ordered this salmon dish to Momo-chan as he said he wants to eat fish. It was stylish and delicious. He ate the whole salmon piece.

Arrived in Krakow

After taking bus, flight and bus and bus, they have almost reached their hotel at 1730.

Chikaramochi 力持ち💪

Pinga came back home with a new honey jar. Momo-chan lifted it saying "Chikaramochi!" That means powerful person in Japanese.

Carrot day

There were carrot ginger juice at Pinga's work as it was carrot day today. The juice was refreshing and tasty.

7pm and still light

Pinga till this photo while walking to the gym. It was 7pm but still light. The daylight gets longer and longer towards mid summer.

Pinga came back home with a new honey jar. Momo-chan lifted it saying "Chikaramochi!" That means powerful person in Japanese.

New washing machine installed

The electrician came this morning and finalized the installation of the new washing machine. Pingu then tried a short wash program and everything seems to work perfectly!

A visit to the city dump

Momo-chan came with Pingu to throw the old washing machine and the packaging to the new machine. Good job Momo-chan!

Laundry machine

Their laundry machine broke down this Saturday. So Pingu ordered a new one avd drove three hours to get it. Now they are removing old one so that they can set up a new one. They decided on Siemens one. The one broken is by Elvita which they have never heard of.
