Momo-chan cane to visit Pinga's work a bit this morning. Her colleague have him After Eight chocolate and he liked it.

Italian Scotch: Part II

So you think s/he looks like me?

Italian Scotch

Pinga found this cat in Forlí near her friend's apartment. She thought s/he looks just like me. Gray color and a little bit on the heavy side. Pinga seems to be seriously thinking of getting another cat like me.

Italian snack time

Today's snack was spelt wheat biscuit with chestnut cream. He liked it much.

焼き栗 Roasted chestnuts

Momo-chan and Pinga are at home as his cold got worse. Pinga roasted some chestnuts that she brought back from Italy. They were tasty.

Santa Lucia singing

Chestnut Momo-chan

Pinga brought some things from Italy such as cheese, chocolates, chestnuts and persimmon. After finishing one persimmon, he ate a bit of chestnuts. Momo-chan is having cold and coughing a lot these days. Hope he gets rid of it soon.

Whiteboard fun

Pingu and Momo-chan did some drawing on a white board and even did a joint Momo.chan portrait. Not so look alike, at least not with Momo-chan grimacing. 

Hot chocolate

Later in the evening on Sunday they went to Pingu's office and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.

Early morning

Pingu and Momo-chan survived the night even though it was around 7 degrees Centigrade and quite windy. Momo-chan woke up at 4 AM and complained that it was cold so he climbed into Pingu's sleeping bag and fell asleep again. It was not as easy for Pingu to fall asleep again since it was really tight in the sleeping bag. They woke up at 7 AM and had a quick breakfast and then went home to warm up.

Marshmallows

Momo-chan ate one sausage and then moved on to the much anticipated grilled marshmallows. He even liked the burnt part best.

Barbecue!

Momo-chan and Pingu was joined by a kindergarten friend and her parents. They joined for barbecue but did not spend the night there.

Ready to go!

Momo-chan and Pingu went to do camping from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning. Here is Momo-chan helping to pack the car.

Pallanza flooded

Pinga is visiting her friend in northern Italy. Because it rained so much in the region for a week, many of the towns by Lago Maggiore have flooding problem. Hope it won't rain more. This photo was taken when they took a walk in the Sunday morning.

Testing the equipment, check!

They borrowed sleeping bags from one of pingu's colleagues. Tonight they tried it out. Momo-chan kept saying tighter and finally he crawled into the bag completely.

Warm clothes, check!

Pinga is leaving for Italy tomorrow so Pingu and Momo-chan decided to be adventurous while she is away and sleep over outside in a wind shelter in a close-by nature area. Here is Momo-chan trying on some warm underwear.  Looking good!

Playdate

Today Momo-chan had a friend from daycare come visit our home. They had fun together and there was no fighting at all.

Maple leaf

Their friend came to visit with this big maple leaf. They made a nice art work from it.

バーバパパの本 Barbapapa book

When Pinga went to pick Momo-chan up at daycare, he was quite focused reading a book with his friend. They wanted to play together some more. As her mom came to pick her up, they talked and decided that she will come to Momo-chan's place after daycare.  tomorrow. They became so happy.

Color match

As usual Momo-chan was playing with broom kit.They noticed this rainbow colored broom is color matching with his socks.

Grey kitten

Three of them are brown tiger patterned like their mom and just one is grey. Their friend said this grey one is more cuddly than others. That sounds like me. I was really cuddly. Pinga and Pingu are thinking hard to adopt or not to adopt.

Hello kitties!

They went to see the kitties at their friend's place again. It was more than a month ago they were there and kittens have grown so much.   Here's Momo-chan playing with them.

Reflector vest

Pingu got this reflector vest for Momo-chan. It will keep him safe during dark winter days. It's green and as you can see very much reflecting.

Trick or treat!

A bit late but they wanted to do trick or treat.

Then they feel asleep like this.

They were very active and got sweaty.  They calmed down by watching Moomin DVD.

After daycare

Momo-chan visited his friend's house after day care with Pinga. Her parents were so nice and invited them for dinner. So Momo-chan had lots of fun with his friend.

Cake in the making

Pinga is making a cake for tonight and Momo-chan decided to help. It looks like no one is holding the blue bowl but it is just Pinga holding on to the far edge.

Skrylle

Pingu and Momo-chan went to Skrylle and took a walk in the forest. Momo-chan said he is never cold but towards the end he admitted that he was cold and borrowed Pingu's knit hat.

Statues by the cathedral

There is something very alive with these statues outside Lund cathedral. Pingu and Momo-chan went to the city library and met friends by chance.

Dear deer

Momo-chan was a bit disappointed that he could not join the local kids to do trick or treating for Halloween so Pingu helped him dress up. Momo-chan chose this cute knit hat and Pingu found another hat to go as a tail.

In Asakusa

Then they went to Asakusa to see a concert for kids. As it was three days holiday, there were lots and lots of prior.

Make your own curry powder

Big curry company, S & B, had a corner that lets you make your own curry powder. So they tried it.

Curry grand prix in Kanda

Momo-chan and Pinga's last day in Tokyo was a busy one. Pinga went to haircut then met Pinga's mom and Momo-chan to go to curry grand prix. The event was held at a park and twenty curry shops in Kanda area were competing customers votes to become the champion.

Pingu's brother turned 50!

Saturday was party time since Pingu's oldest brother turned 50 years! It was a dinner and dancing. The children had a room to themselves and played computer games. It was lots of fun and the band was very good and played balkan type music. 

Chambara

Momo-chan likes to do this sword fighting with shoehorns these days. Deja-vu was worried about Pinga's dad and barking at Momo-chan.

Lemurs from Madagascar

There were lemurs as well.

Hello penguins

They said hello to Pingu and Pinga's friends as well. They are called Cape penguins and from Africa.

Those two penguins looked like they were kissing.

Japanese monkeys

They were looking at Japanese monkeys. Two of them looked like they we talking secretly so they imitated them.

Panda

Ueno zoo was very very crowded. Panda is the most popular animal of the park. There were two pandas. Both of them were active eating and so on. Pinga has seen pandas several times but they were mostly showing their butts so it was unusual to see pandas active.

Momo-chan and Pinga went to Ueno to see their best friend. There they found these ladies dancing. Many dances performances today.

Sleepy Momo-chan

Tired Momo-chan fell asleep right after they arrived in Ueno. His friend's cousin fell asleep as well.

Mochi pounding

They were making rice cake, mochi. Momo-chan's cousin got lucky and tried pounding for the first time.

Yosakoi dance: part II

Each Yosakoi group have its own costume and music.

Pat of the Kamiitabashi local festival was rise Yosakoi dances. They traveled from Yokohama and other places to show their performances. Pinga thought they have interesting costume and music.

Hello duckies

On the way to local festival, they went by a park to say hello to duckies. Babies duckies have grown bigger according to Pinga's sister.

Cousins

They had fun playing together like this. He is two years younger than the other two but he thinks he is equal and he can do whatever they are doing.  He will turn two this month but he already talks a lot.

Desserts

They could choose from three different kinds of cakes. Pinga's sister chose chocolate cake abs Pinga chose Mont Branc, chestnut cake. Both were delicious. The owner has another locale that is a patisserie and he has won some awards with his cakes.

Dinner and DVD viewing

They had dinner at a nearby French restaurant. Kids were watching DVD while adults were finishing their dishes.

Presents opening

Pinga's uncle and aunt came to visit from L.A. with some gifts for the kids. Here they are excited with their presents.
