TechVancouver

It was another evening of volunteering for Pinga. There were at least three Japanese attendees which was unusual. Two of them were looking for work. Today's topic was starting and selling companies so the speaker had experience selling their companies. Starting company takes a lot of work but selling it turns out to be also a strenuous procedure to go through.

4th day at preschool

They were happy when Pinga went to pick them up at noon. Then they walked back home together. They said they rode bike today.

At the dentist

They went to see a dentist for the third time. First time in Vancouver, and second in Tokyo. They were a bit nervous but followed instructions very well. Here they are taking an x-ray. They were happy to receive small sticky toys, stickers, toothbrushes, etc.

Finished preschool

Here's Coco-chan showing Pinga where his spot is at the preschool. They quickly prepared themselves when Pinga came to pick them up.

Slept again on the sofa

QP-chan woke up before 7 am. Pinga put her on the sofa with blanket and Big Pingu next to her. She quickly fell asleep and didn't wake up until after 8 am. As they needed to be at preschool by 8:30, it was a busy morning.

Raccoon

On the way to the bus stop, they saw two raccoons. Can you see one on the tree? There are many squirrels in Stanley Park but it was actually Pinga's first time to see raccoons there.

Giving formula

Here are twins giving formula to rescued baby animals.

Small kids corner

This corner is twins favourite. They had fun driving a boat and taking care of sea animals.

Sea otters

Pinga wanted to see sea otters so they were there. She thought twins would love to watch them but they quickly moved on and went inside the main building.

At the aquarium

It was rainy in the morning so Pinga took twins to the aquarium. QP-chan wanted to take photo with this butterfly wall.

Cleaning time?

Twins all of a sudden came with these mini vacuum cleaners. Momo-chan likes to do this too.

Yuzu jelly

Kids enjoyed yuzu jelly after dinner. It's a gift from Pinga's friend in Tokyo.

Second day at preschool

Twins were woken up by Pinga as they need to be at preschool by 8:30. QP-chan was walking slowly as she was sleepy. Coco-chan walked faster. Pinga asked them to stand by the sign but only QP-Chan did and the teacher opened the door. 

Swirling kids

Momo-chan started swirling and twins followed. It was a bit dangerous as they became dizzy afterward .

After the first day at preschool

At English Bay

Crosstown elementary playground

This afternoon, Pingu biked with all kids to the crosstown elementary playground. They stayed for quite a while and had fun and got tired together.

Hello Vancouver!

Pingu and Momo-chan arrived back in Vancouver on Tuesday around noon. Momo-chan slept the last hours until landing and was hungry. They bought a hot dog from the Japadog stand at the airport. It had seaweed mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce on it.

Lonsdale Quay splash park

Yesterday they went to meet Italian friends on the North Shore. They were prepared with swimwear and had fun at the splash park.

Water carpet

They had fun running around this water carpet. It was such a nice day to be outside.

On the sea bus

Twins had a snack and enjoyed the 15 minutes ride of sea bus to North Vancouver.

Sea otter

On the way to the sea bus station, there were those big aquarium advertisements. They love sea otters so Pinga proposed to take a photo with it. They also like penguins a lot.

Playground tour

While Momo-chan was watching a movie at the cinema, Pingu and twins went to several playgrounds and the beach.

Yoda puzzle

Pingu's work has a new puzzle. This time it is a 1000 piece puzzle of Yoda. Let's see if Momo-chan and Pingu can put a dent in it.

Trying on uniform

Momo-chan tried on his new uniform as he will attend a new school that has uniform. It fit him fine except for the pants length but he felt it's too tight around his neck.

Movie time

Momo-Chan, Pinga and her mom went to see a movie. As you can see, there were not many people at all. They watched Dora.

School playground

It was nice and sunny. Twins were at school playground while Momo-chan was visiting Maritime museum with Pinga's mom.

Momo-chan is back

Twins were happy as Momo-chan came back from Sweden. As Momo-chan and Pingu were jet lagged, they decided to go out and get some sunshine.

Sweden trip: travel day

Today, they had to get up at 4.20 am to go to the airport. It was a long day but they are finally home.

On the last day, they relaxed with Pingu's sister. Here is Momo-chan with his 16 month old cousin.

Pingu met an old friend and they went sailing together outside Landskrona.

On the day after the wedding, Momo-chan went to visit friends on the street where they used to live. They had a lot of fun together.

Sweden trip: day 5, wedding!

Day 5 was Pingu's sisters wedding. Even Pingu's dad was there. Momo-chan joined the ceremony but then stayed with his best friend while Pingu joined the party.

After the park they had lunch at Italia, la pizzeria. It was Momo-chan's choice as he remembers having lunch there.

After a slow morning they went to stadsparken in Lund and Momo-chan had fun at the playground.

Dinner time

Ordered salmon and French flies for twins and they loved... French flies. Well, salmon was over cooked and dry so no wonder they didn't like it.

Lumberjack show

When they came down the hill, the lumberjack show has just started. Pinga wondered if twins would enjoy the show but they did while eating snacks. Can you see a guy standing on top of the one of the logs?

Walking down

Considering how it was to come up with the chairlift, they decided to walk down the hill. It was slippery and some parts are steep. Coco-chan walked well and QP-chan slipped many times. But no one fell and they arrived at the base.

At the peak

They took the chairlift and came to the peak of the mountain. QP-chan is as not calm or listening to Pingavor her mom, they had nervous trip up. On the contrary, Coco-chan was quietly holding onto the safety bar.

Bears

There were two grizzly bears, Coola and Glinder. Twins were excite to see them so close.

Owl

Then the trainer brought out this owl from the box. Twins were looking foreword to seeing an owl but by the time it came out, QP-chan wanted to move onto see the bears.

Eagle Hercules

First, they went to heck the birds in demonstrations. There was this eagle flying close by the audiences.

On the gondola

They got off the shuttle bus and went onto the gondola. While Coco-chan was sound asleep, QP-chan was checking the scenery. When they arrived at the top, there was more than half an hour wait for going down.

Waiting patiently...

They went to have soup dumplings at Crystal Mall in Burnaby. After ordering, you have to wait 10-15 minutes to receive your order. Here are twins waiting patiently.

Let’s go home!

After dinner

It turned out to be a great weather. They went out for a happy hour and twins enjoyed French flies. Adults enjoyed escargot. They walked back home along the sea wall.

Dinner and evening with Pingu's oldest brother and Momo-chan got to meet with his cousin that he adores.

They visited Nimis together again. Last time was when Momo-chan was five years old. Momo-chan is a climber just like his dad.

In the evening, they visited Pingu's old friend for dinner and to stay the night. Momo-chan and the daughter had a lot of fun playing together with a large collection of Lego and Playmobil.
