Last day at school

Pinga went to pick them up as they could have much to carry. They came out running together with their classmates. They received handmade farewell gifts from their classmates. a couple of the kids were Halling Coco-chan carry too. Very sweet.

Let's walk

After the cafe, they walked back home. QP-chan was in control but Coco-chan had more difficult time walking with them.

Dog cafe

They met their friends and the dogs at a nearby cafe where dogs are ok to bring in. The dogs were very quiet and well-behaved. Here are Sori and QP-chan.

Third Covid vaccination

As under 12 years old can get Covid vaccination in Japan,  twins had their third vaccination for Covid. They had no problems and it was done in just a couple of minutes. Good job!

At karaoke 🎤 box

They went to karaoke after dinner. Twins had a couple of songs in mind and they did good job reading the lyrics and singing.

In Ikebukuro

After having tea time and meeting Pinga parents, they went to Ikebukuro for dinner. Here they are walking among all other people. He is tall but only twelve years old.

Meiji shrine

Pinga's friends from New Zealand arrived in Tokyo yesterday. So she was showing then around Harajuku and Meiji shrine today. It was very sunny with 29C degrees.

Sleepy Scotch!

Now that it summer, cats are out all through the night. That means they are enjoying quiet and relaxing time during daytime. Here is yawning Scotch!

Firefighter museum

They went to firefighter museum this morning. There were firetrucks, helicopters, firefighters clothes, history of firefighting, etc. They enjoyed it until they got hungry and grumpy at lunch time.

Intellectually sweet making

After finishing homework, it's time for snack and gummi making. Coco-chan was done quickly but QP-chan was very serious making colorful gummies.

After the last swim lesson

Here are twins being happy after doing the swim test. Unfortunately they didn't pass the test to proceed to the next level but Pinga gave them A for an effort.

Panda cookies

Twins cane back from school and it's snack time. They were happy to find panda cookies and did this.

At Kidzania again

Twins got yo early and went to Kidzania. It was very crowded but they managed to do many occupation experiences. Here they are working as security guards.

Strawberry 🍓 candy

It's a photo from Asakusa last Sunday. QP-chan got fresh strawberry candy. It was a bit too messy and Coco-chan was wiping her mouth here.

Off to swim class

Here's Coco-chan waving to Pinga as he will go to swim class. QP-chan just walked ahead so she was already at the changing room. They are making great progress.

Sukiyaki dinner

It was sukiyaki for dinner. Twins are more than last time. QP-chan liked meat and onions a lot.

Sanja matsuri

There were people involved in festival activities everywhere. It was lovely and so many people there.

Asakusa, Sensoji temple

It was twins first time to visit Asakusa. There were so many people as there was a local festival, Sanja matsuri. But Pinga didn't know until they got there. They had fun watching mikoshi and hearing traditional live music.

Women's soccer ⚽

They went to see a professional women's soccer game this afternoon. The green team had two goals before they left. They left when there were twenty minutes left.

Temaki zushi dinner

They had Pinga's friend over for dinner. Pinga's mom prepared temaki zushi. Twins seemed to like wrapping egg and freshwater eel a lot.

31 C degrees

As it was hot, Pinga took then to have something cold after they've done their homework. QP-chan decided on matcha with tapioca and soft ice cream where Coco-chan chose melon soda with soft ice cream.

Mother's day lunch

It was mother's day in Japan this Sunday so Pinga took her mother to a belated mother's day lunch. They had a nice time ar a Japanese restaurant in Ikebukuro. These are the appetizers.

Cat treats

They received cat treats for Inez and Totoro from Pinga's best friend. Here's cat Coco-chan very interested in them.

Three monkeys in Nikko

They visited Nikko as it seemed to be an ok weather. But then it started raining. Here are twins in front of the famous see no evil, hear no evil, and say no evil monkeys. 🙈 🙉 🐵

Onsen = pingpong

Just like when they were in Ishiuchi, they wanted to play table tennis. They improved a lot.

Yukata twins

Before going to onsen, they changed into yukata. They liked onsen and bathed 4 times in two days.

Kinuta the devil

This devil statue was in front of the Kinugawa onsen station. Why devil? It's because kinugawa's ki is 鬼 👹, devil character. It was funny when twins tried to imitate devil face and attitude.

SL Taiju

When they arrived at Kinugawa onsen this SL was about to leave. Twins wanted to get on but they needed reservations so they just took photos. Pinga was thinking of her friend in Sweden who loves SL.

Afternoon tea at Akasaka palace

Pinga's friend is good at finding interesting places. Today they were at Akasaka palace for an afternoon tea. Although it was windy but they were happy that there was sunshine. After they have eaten, they went inside the palace to see. It's the only building with Neo ballock style in Japan. 

Feeding koi and geese

They stopped by Denen Plaza for lunch. After having pizza, they fed these koi fish and geese. They seemed to be well fed and big.

Going up to the shrine

After the visit to the ski teacher, they went up the stairs to visit the Shrine. It went quick but Pinga had muscle pain in the evening.

In Kawaba

On their way back to Tokyo, they stopped at Kawaba village to say hello to Pinga's ski teacher who is an apple farmer. It has been five years or so she was happy to see him. Twins had fun throwing leaves to the stream by his house.

Looking for eggs of...

Praying mantis. They met a girl who found praying mantis eggs. So they went looking for one in the rain. Luckily it wasn't raining so much when they went out looking. Unfortunately they couldn't find one.

Strawberry 🍓 picking

It was twins' first time to do strawberry picking. They were so excited. They were not arrowed to pick and eat at the same time. They picked, the farm weighed them and they could eat them.

Table tennis twins

After the traffic jam on the highway resolved, they left Tokyo and came to Ishiuchi, Niigata. They had fun bating in hot springs and playing table tennis. Well, they need to practice more to begin to have fun, actually.

Little helper Coco-chan

Pinga's mom was changing the carpet from winter one to summer one. Coco-chan volunteered to vacuum clean. Good job Coco-chan!

Pokemon card game

Here's Coco-chan playing Pokemon card with his cousin. Twins have learned the rules and now they can play by themselves. Great!

Swim test

Twins have been to swim lessons twice a week. Coco-chan is at yellow class, second level. QP-chan was at red class, first level. There was a test as it was the end of the month. To everyone's relief, QP-chan passed the test and she can go to yellow class next month. Good job, QP-chan. Coco-chan did well too but he couldn't move onto the next class, white class.

Gyoza dinner

It was not only gyoza for dinner but that was the dish twins were lost excited about. They ate many of them.

Sukiyaki dinner

It was cold with the highest 16C degrees, Pinga's mom decided on sukiyaki for dinner. It was delicious and twins ate well.

On the sea bus

They took sea bus to red brick warehouse area. It left Yokohama at 14:50. It became sunnier and warmer than in the morning.

Pokemon center

They went to Yokohama to meet their friends. After being at kids playland called Hapipi land, they had lunch and visited Pokemon center. As it's popular, their friend went to get a numbered ticket so that they could go in at a specified time. Luckily, Pokemon cards were not sold out there.

Homework time

Twins have a routine. They come back home and they do homework. Pinga prepared snack for them too. They are having tough time remembering kanji.

Learning Pokemon battle

Pinga took the twins to their favorite toy store. On the second floor, there are card game events on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Pinga had to take the work call but twins stayed there for more than an hour and played with some other kids.

Kinomiya shrine

Pinga visited one of the major tourist spots in Atami. This shrine has very old and big Kusunoki tree.

SL in Atami

Pinga was in Atami for hot springs. On front of the station was this steam locomotive. It made her think of her friend in Sweden that loves trains and gave model steam locomotive to Momo-chan.

Nikuman breakfast

Here are twins eating nikuman, meat bao, for breakfast. Coco-chan ate it all but QP-chan just ate half of it. They are so into kids TV these days.

Let's go for a walk

As Coco-chan was doing Minecraft with his cousin and Qp-chan, mobile phone games, Pinga decided to take them out for a walk. But then it started to rain and they had to change their destination to somewhere nearer.

Evacuation drill at school

Twins had school in the morning. Parents could go and watch them study so Pinga went and observed the lessons. It was interesting to see how different Japanese lecture could be depending on who teaches it. After two subjects, there was an evacuation drill. Twins came back home with their disaster prevention hood on. Pinga thought it's kind of cute.

Arrived at school

Here's Coco-chan saying good bye to Pinga. They joined a group of kids that go to school together. A parent goes to school together with them to make sure they get to school safely. From today, it's Pinga's turn for five days to see them off to school.
