Butterflies

Pingu, Pinga and Momo-chan went for a walk yesterday. It was quite nice and sunny. They saw trees blooming and also some butterflies. Let's hope spring warmth is here to stay.

Pingu is looking after sleepy Momo-chan

Momo-chan is rid of his cold now which is great. He is also more awake and active during the day and night. After eating Momo-chan often falls asleep (actually many times while eating). He sleeps rather light so to avoid waking him up Pinga lets him stay on the feeding pillow and puts Pingu in the middle so Momo-chan does not slip into the middle. Looks like Pingu is doing a good job of taking care of Momo-chan, right?

Guarded by another cat

Momo-chan was sleeping today on the couch under the supervision of a stuffed toy cat. I would not dare be so close myself but I do not react so much any longer when Momo-chan cries.

Testing a Manduca baby carrier

Today Pingu tested carrying Momo-chan in an ergonomic baby carrier made by Manduca. It seems to work well and most likely Pingu and Pinga will get one for Momo-chan. This brown one they have borrowed from friends.

Almost a smile

Momo-chan is sleeping a lot and when he is not he looks very serious. This morning he actually looked happy.

Taking a walk

Pingu and Pinga had a visit from their friend with his son. They went out walking together and I was not allowed to come with.

Eyes wide Momo-chan

Although he still has a cold, he was awake for a long time today. I still do not dare go close to him...

Easter egg hunt

Pinga was sneaky and hid an easter egg filled with candy from Pingu while he was napping with Momo-chan. Pingu then had to search for it. He found it after a while. The egg on the right was given by nice friends that they met on their walk earlier today.

Baby stroller debut

Today was Momo-chan's first walk outside in the stroller. Pingu and Pinga went for kind of a long walk but Momo-chan slept almost all the way. It is nice and sunny but a bit windy today.

We have something in common

I was sleeping on the couch yesterday and so was Momo-chan. Do you know that I am more than twice his weight?

Momo-chan manicure

Momo-chan has fast growing nails so today it was time for some manicure. I wish Pingu and Pinga used nail file instead of those nail cutters on me too.

Flowers and teddy bear!

I am quite jealuous. Momo-chan keeps getting more and more flowers. This cute parent-child flower set including a cuddly teddy bear is from Pinga's company.

Momo-chan's first home visit

Today Momo-chan got a home visit by a Pingu and Pinga friend. He brought present and snacks from his family. How nice! No cat candy though...

Parent-child flower set!

There was even more flowers delivered today. This set of flowers was attached just like a mother and child at birth. Cute! They came from Pinga's side of the family.

Is the baby dangerous?

I found the baby lying on a blanket today. Since it was sleeping I felt it was kind of safe to get a bit closer. It smells a bit strange and it definitely can make loud noise when awake.

First ultrasound experience

Momo-chan went to a hospital for a check-up this morning. He was not happy with the cold gel they used but he was not screaming and behaved well.

We got nice flowers!

Pingu, Pinga and the baby received flowers today. They look and smell very nice. They are from Pingu's relatives.

Daruma complete!

Pinga filled in the second eye of the daruma. It means that the wish for a safe delivery of a healthy baby came true. You can see the post when Pinga filled in the first eye here.

Home!

Momo-chan just came home and he immediately got hungry. What about me?

Momo-chan is coming home

Momo-chan is riding a car for the first time. He is outside the hospital for the first time. Many firsts actually. Today he will be coming home. I am a bit scared of kids. Let's see how it goes.

Sleepy Momo-chan

Pinga and Momo-chan are at the hospital. Since they couldn't sleep well at night, they took an afternoon nap. So did I. I think we'll get along well, Momo-chan.

Hospital dinner

Pinga and Momo-chan are still at the hospital. Today's dinner was meat balls and a big chunk of cucumber.

Feeding Momo-chan

Momo-chan needs some extra nutrition so Pingu has helped to feed Momo-chan today from a small cup. Momo-chan is quite hungry.

Awake Momo-chan

Pingu and Momo-chan visited the doctor this morning for normal check up. Momo-chan woke up and opened his eyes. It looks a bit like he has been scratched by me on his right cheek but I am innocent.

Hospital lunch

Pinga is staying at the hospital with Momo-chan. This is Pinga's lunch. She was surprised to see a piece of raw bell pepper on the tray.

Momo-chan brings spring

Pingu went to have lunch downtown while Pinga and Momo-chan are resting at the hospital. Today it is nice and warm outside with 15 degrees. Some flowers are blooming. It seems Momo-chan brought spring with him!

Happy birthday Momo-chan!

Pingu and Pinga left me all alone today when they went to the hospital Pingu just came back home and told me they got a son! This healthy baby boy was born at 10.46 AM today and weighed 3 kilo and 49 cm tall. Happy birthday Momo-chan!

Heart shaped waffles

Pingu and Pinga are at their friends' place having waffles. Pingu likes to eat them with cloudberry jam and cream.

A stop at Ravenswood winery

Ravenswood is even known in Sweden. Pingu thought their slogan "No wimpy wines allowed" was quite funny. Note the photos of the winery crew in wine barrels.

Nice weather for a ride in a convertible

Sonoma valley is warmer than downtown San Francisco so the convertible was a very good choice with temperatures reaching 20 degrees C.

Crossing the Golden Gate bridge

Pingu's colleague had rented a Mustang convertible so they drove in style and started by crossing the famous Golden Gate bridge.

Yet another tasty breakfast

Pingu and two colleagues decided to go to Sonoma and Napa valley for some wine tasting. To get started and ensure they had good energy they of course had a nice breakfast. Pingu had the excellent french toasts with strawberries on top.

Press club wine bar

Pingu's colleague knew a great wine bar called Press club. It was a cosy place and of course with nice wine.

Chinatown

Pingu's hotel in SF was just next to Chinatown. Pingu had dinner there twice. One time it was not so tasty and the other time it was very good. Pingu wished he knew about the good place earlier!

Origami

In Japantown there was this Origami shop which has a small exhibition. Pingu was quite impresed with this dragon. Note that it is only one piece of paper and no cutting allowed!

Lunch in Japantown

Pingu and a colleague went over to Japantown to have some lunch. It was tasty since Pinga gave Pingu a good recommendation. Afterwards they walked around a bit.

S:t Patrick's day

Pingu arrived in SF just in time to see S:t Patrick's day celebrations. Plenty of green everywhere. There was a block party next to the hotel so quite noisy though.

Palm trees and cable cars

Pingu was lucky with the weather. Sunny and nice. This is the obligatory cable car photo taken by Union square.

World famous Swedish pancakes

Pingu went to have breakfast at Sears Fine Food close to Union square. They had Swedish pancaked on the menu so Pingu could not resist. They even wrote that they were world famous. They were served with lingonberries. Looks tasty!

The Streets of San Francisco

Pingu just came home from a week long business trip to San Francisco. Unfortunately he did not have a SD card reader so he could not blog from over there. Instead today there will be many blogs from the past week. Enjoy!

Anpan & ringopan あんパンとりんごパン

"An" in Japanese is sweet red bean paste. "Ringo" is apple. Pinga has baked two kinds of buns. Pinga was happy as they turned out to be more fluffy than last time.

Pinga's dinner

Pinga made two kinds of asparagus rolls. As they are Pingu's favourite, Pinga was wondering how Pingu's doing in California. Pinga made too much and couldn't finish all of them.

Ikea

Pinga is at Ikea with her friend. She's checking rocking chairs but they just had two of them.

Kiwi cake

Pinga made a kiwi cake for the first time and it turned out to be tasty.

Pingu goes to San Francisco

Pingu is at Copenhagen airport soon to go to San Francisco via Frankfurt. He is missing Pinga already.

Craftsman visiting

I'm hiding underneath the kitchen table as the craftsman is here drilling a lot!

Baby things

Pingu and Pinga received a lot of baby stuff from their friends yesterday. Pinga sorted them while Pingu was helping the craftsman. Pinga thought baby clothes are cute and small!

Raspberry creamcheese buns

Pinga was very happy to see how these buns turned out. It tasted good too (according to Pinga)!

Sunshine!

Although the outside temperature is still low, 2C degrees, it's very nice and sunny today and I am sun bathing.

Totoro baby goods

Pingu found these when he was in Tokyo. Pinga thinks I look like Totoro. That is fine as long as that means I am cute.
