Out in the snow

Pinga and Momo-chan was out in town to meet some friends today. It was cold and snowy. I am not envious of them going out in the snow.

Lussekatter

Pinga has baked lussekatter, Christmas saffron buns, for the first time by herself. It went quite ok but she wanted them more fluffy and moist. Momo-chan was very curious but it's a bit early for him to taste one of those. Pinga became surprised how powerful Momo-chan was when he was pulling them towards him.

Pepparkaksfil

There are many food and snacks that are seasonal in Japan but it is not so common to find them in Sweden. But Pinga found this pepparkaksfil yesterday so she had it with corn flakes this morning. Pepparkaka is ginger cookie and fil is filmjölk. Filmjölk is a dairy product that is inbetween milk and yogurt. Pingu usually eats his musli with blueberry filmjölk for his breakfast.

Lots of babies!

Pinga had some moms and babies over for afternoon tea and cake. There were so many babies in the apartment I had to hide.

Cardamum rolls

Pinga baked cardamum rolls the other day. They are tasty and Momo-chan was trying to grab a bite.

Jul pyssel: Chrstmas preparations

Pinga went to a kindergarten this evening to so dome craft for Christmas. She made these three items: candle holder, pot and a key ring. I like the pot best, of course!

Finger painting Part 2

Momo-chan's friend did good job with the painting. She is a little artist!

Finger painting

Momo-chan was supposed to paint with his fingers but he was curious about all other things and not in the mood for painting. So he was just sitting in front of the paper and colours.

Baking project あんパン＆りんごパン

As it's super snowy, Pinga did some baking. This time she made apple buns and red bean paste buns.
雪が降っているのでピンガはパンを焼きました。林檎パンとあんパンを作りました。ピングはりんごパンが好きで、ピンガはあんパンが好きです。

Snowing a lot

It's very cold and snowing a lot. I have not been outside for a long time but I am ok with it.

Momo-chan's girlfriend?

Pinga has baked some cookies and invited friends. They came with to daughters and one of them is close to Momo-chan's age. They were on the mat together.

Yomogi udon lunch

Pinga cooked udon noodle for Momo-chan. He seems to like udon and opens his mouth eagerly. Usually udon is white but as it was yomogi udon, it was green. Yomogi is a Japanese herb that contains fiber, calcium, vitamin A and so on.

Rocking horse

Momo-chan tried the rocking horse for the first time. He was just sitting and did not really know how to play with it. He seemed to be happy meeting many other babies and kids there though.

Snowy and windy

Today's highest temperature was minus 3C degrees and it was snowing almost all day. Momo-chan and Pinga went out and it was cooooold.

Tasty foot

Momo-chan is quite limber and can easily reach his mouth with his feet. Recently he likes to suck on his toes while lying on his back. Impressive!

Winter wonderland

Momo-chan went for a walk with Pingu in the coastal village of Arild. It was quite windy and snowing but thanks to the rain cover and overall Momo-chan slept nicely. During this walk Pinga was at the hotel getting her spa treatment.

Happy Birthday Pingu!

Today is Pingu's birthday. Pinga surprised him with a overnight stay at Arild's Rusthållargården with nice dinner and spa treatment. She also baked these very tasty cupcakes. Mmmm!

President Momo-chan

Momo-chan enjoys sitting on the Ikea Antilop chair. With the O-ball and the UCLA duck he rules the world. At least it looks like it.

Momo-chan of Arabia

Momo-chan took a bath yesterday. His towel has this corner which can turn into a kind of hat. Does he not look a bit like Lawrence of Arabia?

Happy 8-month birthday Momo-chan!

Momo-chan has his 8-month birthday today. Pinga made some muffins and Momo-chan was allowed to taste some of the apple pieces inside. The muffin in the photo has a cute bear shape.

Momo-chan in new overall

As it's rainy and snowy in Lund, Pinga bought this overall for Momo-chan. Good that I have lots of fur to keep me warm.

Blanket from Pinga's sister

Momo-chan found a new thing to play with. It's this blanket that Pinga's sister knitted.

Momo-chan was reading this picture book in a serious manner.

New toy for Momo-chan

Momo-chan seemed to like this UCLA duck a lot and played with it almost all afternoon.

Taking a walk

As Momo-chan has recovered from the fever, Pingu and Pinga took him out for a walk. There were still a bit of snow remaining and cold. It was his first time to try this overall but it was as you can see too big for him and they went out to check something smaller.

Snowy Lund

Today it has been snowing all day in Lund. Pingu and Momo-chan are feeling better but still taking it easy. Pinga is the only one who is not sick so it is a bit tough for her taking care of all of us.

New bike for Pinga

Both Pingu and Momo-chan are sick at home today. As Pinga's bike got stolen, Pingu bought this one for her. It was her first time to use it. Pinga bought a lot of vegetables at a supermarket hoping that the vegetable rich dinner would help Pingu recovering from the cold.

Emergency care for kids 小児救急

As Momo-chan has been having high fever, Pingu and Pinga took him to an emergency room for kids. The doctor examined him and said that the fever should be gone in three days.
ももちゃんは昨晩から発熱していましたが熱が39度にまで上がったのでピングとピンガはももちゃんを小児救急へ連れて行きました。検尿、聴診器を使っての診察後、医師は「3日熱でしょう」とのこと。食欲もあるし元気なので、3日経っても熱が下がらなかったら再度来て下さい、とのことでした。

Tiger Momo-chan

It was Momo-chan's first time to wear this tiger outfit. He looked both warm and cute.

Welcome back Momo-chan

This is Momo-chan on the train to Narita airport. He was a good boy both on the train and on the air plane. Pinga was worried about a long flight but Momo-chan was sleeping well, looking at other people and playing by himself.

Eating or singing?

It looks like Momo-chan is singing but he is not. He couldn't eat sushi yet but he was eating chawanmushi, Japanese egg dish, and he wanted to hold a spoon by himself.

Momo-chan at Sushi place

As it was the last evening for Pinga and Momo-chan, they went to a sushi restaurant with their family. Momo-chan could not sit up when he came to this sushi place about 5 weeks ago but now he can and as you can see he was curiously looking at sushi plates.

Afternoon tea and cake

After the lunch, they went to a cafe for tea and cake. Momo-chan was curious about the cake.

Very hungry?

At the restaurant, he was curious about the table and biting it. Pinga thought it was cute though.

Tofu lunch

Pinga's mother, Momo-chan and Pinga met Pinga's best friend and her baby at the tofu restaurant for lunch. Lunch with babies can sometimes be challenging as they can become sleepy and unhappy.

Drinking wheat tea

Pinga has bought this mug with a straw and Momo-chan used it for the first time yesterday. He was able to drink with the straw and he seems to like wheat tea.

Momo-chan's cousin

She is 17 days old now. She drinks more and more milk and growing bigger day by day. This is she being sleepy just after drinking milk in the morning.

Go go Japan!

Momo-chan was watching woman's volleyball world championship on TV with Pinga's father. It was Japan vs. Russia and they were sending yell to the Japanese team.

Illumination using recycled bottles

Pinga was meeting her friend in Shinjuku and saw these people making illumination by using recycled bottles. Pinga thought it's an unique and innovative way of making illumination.

Breakfast at Komeda coffee

Komeda coffee is famous for its "morning service" which is to serve a toast and a boiled egg for free if you order a drink in by 11am. Pinga has ordered "ice cocoa" and it was tasty with soft cream topping.

Mexican lunch

Pinga met her best friend and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant. It was tasty.

Winter gifts for Momo-chan

Momo-chan received these knit hat, scarf, and mittens this afternoon. Very nice gift as he will go back to Sweden soon.

Toddler and Deja-vu

There were guests visiting and one of them was this girl who was very curious about Deja-vu. She wanted to pet her while she was eating. Deja-vu has been stressed as there are two babies at home and she was not so happy having yet another small one.

Momo-chan likes to play with the TV remote controller. He was even checking if it was tasty

Happy bath time

As it's getting colder in Tokyo, Momo-chan took longer bath this evening. As you can see in this photo, he liked it.

Shuumai gift 崎陽軒のしゅうまい

Pinga's friend who lives in Yokohama gave Pinga these Kiyouken's shuumai to her. Kiyouken is famous for its shuumai. They have been selling shuumai with the soy sauce in this cute container. Pinga and her family enjoyed these shuumai a lot.

Momo-chan's favourite food

Momo-chan ate many things this evening. He ate pumpkin, carrot, sweet potato, potato and eel. His favourite food seems to be pumpkin. Momo-chan was very eager to eat and he even held a spoon by himself.

Meeting another baby

Pinga and Momo-chan visited their friends this afternoon. This baby is almost 5 months old. He is half Japanese and half Australian. He is almost always quiet and happy, just like Momo-chan.

At the photo studio

This is Momo-chan at the photo studio. Pinga and Pinga's mom took him to the photo studio for a photo shoot this morning. The photographer liked Momo-chan as he was smiley and easy to work with. They chose three photos to be developed and they will be delivered next week.

New toy for Momo-chan かしゃかしゃ本とももちゃん

Pinga bought this book for Momo-chan and he likes it a lot as it makes sound when he holds it.
