John Paul II

The late bishop John Paul II used to be the bishop of Krakow. This is the bishop's house where he stayed whenever he came back to visit.

Across the river Wisła

After lunch, they walked to Oscar Shindler's factory museum. It was a bit of walk but the weather was nice and sunny.

Kazimiertz (Jewish quarter)

They walked over to the Jewish quarter. As Momo-chan was on the stroller most of the time during the walking tour he had lots of energy. This area was used as a filming location for the movie Shindler's list.

On the canon

Momo-chan found this canon at university building. Here he is sitting happily on it.

Windy like in Lund

In the morning it was cold and windy. So Pinga let Momo-chan have her scarf.

The dragon

Below the castle they finally reached the dragon. Momo-chan was excited to meet it after being promised that there would be a dragon at the end of the tour.

Wawel castle

Tour continued avd the last destination was Wawel castle. It was big and beautiful. Very much inspired by Italian renaissance.

Free walking tour

They hurried to the main square to join this walking tour. She was a good guide and the tour lasted for two hours.

Blueberry pierogi

For breakfast, Pinga cooked pierogi with blueberry. Their expectation was high but it was so so. Momo-chan didn't like it so Pingu put on a bit of sugar and he said it tasted better.

Horse carriages

Today they saw many horse carriages. Momo-chan likes horses so he was happy.

Apartment hotel

Pinga found a nice apartment hotel close to the old town. It's nicely decorated and very clean. Here's Momo-chan enjoying the spacious bathroom.

Salmon with caviar

They had dinner at a nice restaurant. Pinga ordered this salmon dish to Momo-chan as he said he wants to eat fish. It was stylish and delicious. He ate the whole salmon piece.

Arrived in Krakow

After taking bus, flight and bus and bus, they have almost reached their hotel at 1730.

Chikaramochi 力持ち💪

Pinga came back home with a new honey jar. Momo-chan lifted it saying "Chikaramochi!" That means powerful person in Japanese.

Carrot day

There were carrot ginger juice at Pinga's work as it was carrot day today. The juice was refreshing and tasty.

7pm and still light

Pinga till this photo while walking to the gym. It was 7pm but still light. The daylight gets longer and longer towards mid summer.

Chikaramochi 力持ち

Pinga came back home with a new honey jar. Momo-chan lifted it saying "Chikaramochi!" That means powerful person in Japanese.

New washing machine installed

The electrician came this morning and finalized the installation of the new washing machine. Pingu then tried a short wash program and everything seems to work perfectly!

A visit to the city dump

Momo-chan came with Pingu to throw the old washing machine and the packaging to the new machine. Good job Momo-chan!

Laundry machine

Their laundry machine broke down this Saturday. So Pingu ordered a new one avd drove three hours to get it. Now they are removing old one so that they can set up a new one. They decided on Siemens one. The one broken is by Elvita which they have never heard of.

Lego

One of the presents he received was Lego mining car. It's normal size Lego and not Duplo. He is really into it. Other presents are fun as well. Books, flashlight, mustasch, bubble sword, etc.

Here they are using their key to retrieve the treasure. Mmm exiting!

Find the key and...

Each kid received a map of where to search for the key. They found the key and they used this key to get to the treasure.

Treasure hunt

Pingu became a captain and he gave them assignment to find the treasure. As you can see he got full attention from all the kids.

Sunny day

It was warm and sunny so they could be out in the garden.

Birthday party

They did birthday party for Momo-chan with his daycare friends and neighbor kids. Very lively with 8 kids in a house!

Tired Momo-chan

On the way back home, Momo-chan asked Pinga to have her knit hat. Then he put it on like this and fell asleep after 10 seconds or so. He was very tired.

Bicycling downhill

Momo-chan enjoyed biking down the hill. It was such a nice sunny day today. The temperature went up to 15c degrees.

Windows hill?

After lunch they went to a playground near by and there were these small hills. It looked like the desktop of Windows.

Peruvian lunch

They went to have late lunch at This temporally Peruvian restaurant again this afternoon. Pinga ordered the same dish as last time to share with Momo-chan. It was good but maybe a bit better last time.

Ladybug under cleaning

Momo-chan was serious about cleaning. Pinga said to him there's no need to clean the ladybug but he said it needs cleaving and continued to do so.

Little helper

Pingu was vacuum cleaning and Momo-chan wanted to help as usual.

Little captain hook

Pinga borrowed this eye patch from her colleague. Pingu will be captain hook on Sunday. Momo-chan wanted to try it on. So here he is.

Locomotive

Monocacy received souther birthday gift. It's a locomotive that makes nice noise as if it's running. He also received for roses in different colors. Very nice!

Ramen Momo-chan

Momo-chan enjoyed his ramen noodle. He liked yakibuta and menma a lot. He still is not fond of egg yellow though.

More baking

Pinga is good at baking cookies and Momo-chan likes to help.

Pinga birthday cookies

Since it is Momo-chan's birthday, Pinga baked these cookies on the theme of 4. Momo-chan and Pingu-Pinga friend came by to help decorate them.

Book on popular theme

Momo-chan got a gift from his Japanese friend's who attend the same group at daycare. It is a book about poo! Momo-chan loves it and he has already had it read to him twice!

Globe birthday gift

Momo-chan's grand parents in Tokyo got Momo-chan this very nice globe. Now Momo-chan can explore the world at home as well.

Birthday waffles at daycare

Today is Momo-chan's 4th birthday and he got celebrated at daycare with ice cream and singing among other things. As added bonus there was waffles for children and parents since today it is waffle day in Sweden. It was tasty and fun to see everyone at daycare.

Cookies

Cake and cookies

Dinner was gyoza according to Momo-chan's request but he didn't eat much. Then it's cake time. Momo-chan got excited about those vehicle candles.

Cookie making

As usual, Momo-chan helped Pinga's baking project. Helping was nice but Pinga had to keep close eye on Momo-chan as he rtried to eat cookie dough all the time.

Present from Tokyo

Momo-chan got a present from Pinga's parents in Tokyo. Exciting! What's inside?

Waffle day

It's waffle day in Sweden. So Momo-chan's daycare invited kids avd family for waffles. Very nice!

Assembling bike

While Pinga was baking birthday cake for Momo-chan, Pingu was assembling his bike. It was almost done but not completely as he needed some special oil and tool.

Summer chair

Momo-chan found this sun chair for kids at the same store that they bought his bike. He sat down immediately and tensed like this. It has his new favorite color, light blue.

Bike shopping

They went to buy a bike and a helmet for Momo-chan as he will turn for tomorrow. He was having tough time deciding between light blue and red but as there was not light blue bike, he decided on a red one. Here he is helping Pingu carry it.

Pool party?

After a lot of playing upstairs the kids came down with much less clothes than before. They had decided to play pool games and even put on goggles. They had a lot of fun.
