Dinner time

Momo-chan liked white corn the best and next was gyoza.

Serious pealing Momo-chan そら豆むきむき

Momo-chan was pealing broad beans and he liked doing it. But broad beans was not his favorite on the table.

Too hot!

Momo-chan was happy to get churros bit here he was dating that it was too hot.

Running away

Momo-chan wanted to come to beach but he didn't touch water much. He was mainly playing with sand.

Churros in the making

As Momo-chan has been talking about it, they went to have churros in Huntington Beach. Pinga was curious about it as she missed it last time.

Ice cream monster

Momo-chan had ice cream three times!

焼肉食べ放題 Korean barbecue

They had lunch at all you can eat Korean bbq place. Momo-chan liked it s lot and ate well. He finished lunch with ice cream x3.

Perfect hideaway

Their friend's car is a big truck. Momo-chan liked the flat bed area and climbed in more than once.

Haircut result

This is the result of the haircut. Momo-chan also got these tasty cookies.

Double haircut

Yesterday,  it was time for their friend's haircut. Since Momo-chan also needed haircut it was perfect timing.

Dim sum

Yesterday they went to dim sum for lunch. Very tasty!

Sliders

They came to stay the weekend at their friend in Huntington Beach. He made them these very tasty small hamburgers called sliders.

Scratching post

Momo-chan also liked to play cat and tried to climb into this scratch post.

Exercise wheel

Momo-chan liked looking at the different animals. These two mice decided to do some workout together.

Petco

Pinga went to do some shopping so Pingu and Momo-chan went to the next door pet shop called Petco.

Beach time

It was cloudy and cold for beach but they went anyway. Momo-chan wanted to go home right away but then he came to enjoy it later.

Sunglasses Momo-chan

Pinga got these sunglasses for Momo-chan as he lost the previous ones. But now they are looking for these. Where are they??

Outcome of sketching

Pinga sketched Momo-chan face. Momo-chan added finishing touch to it and here it is.

They finished their visit by taking a nice walk through the gardens at Getty center.

Today they went to visit Getty center. It was sunny but windy and cool.

Turner special exhibition

The Getty has a Turner exhibition focusing on his last 16 years of his life. Very good!

Din tai fung in Glendale

Yesterday afternoon they had a late lunch at din tai fung in Glendale. They are famous for their dumplings. Here you can see them making dessert dumplings with red beans.

The sketching gallery

After Turner, they felt inspired and went to do some sketching of their own.

Santa monica airport

Yesterday,  Pingu and Momo-chan went to the local airport while Pinga got a haircut. For some reason there was very few planes taking off,  maybe because of the cloudy weather?

Street art?

Pingu and Momo-chan took a frozen yogurt break after all the art and found yet another at piece. This looks a lot like Lenin, hmmm.

Ongoing excavation

In the garden close to the tar pits, they found this ongoing excavation.

Caught by a monster?

No,  just playing in the La Brea tar pits park.

La Brea tar pits

Next to LACMA are the La Brea tar pits. This is where a lot of fossils have and are still being excavated. Momo-chan swore that these animals were moving, wind maybe?

Momo-chan, the sculpture

There are also works of art in the surrounding gardens. Here Momo-chan is mimicking a Rodin sculpture pose.

Metropolis

This piece of art is called Metropolis and is in the contemporary art building of LACMA. Unfortunately it is only moving on weekends so they food not get to see it on action but it was still impressive.

Momo-chan the painter

LACMA has a room just for kids who want to create their own pieces of art. Momo-chan enjoyed painting and they spent quite some time there.

LACMA

Pingu and Momo-chan visited LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) yesterday. This photo was taken close to their main ticket office.

Jacaranda blooming

Pinga liked these flowers when she lived in Los Angeles. It started to fall off and that reminds her of sakura but purple color.

Will Rogers state beach

After Getty Villa, they went to the beach. There they ran towards and away from waves.

In the garden

Momo-chan asked many times when they would go home. But then he met this boy to play with. They had fun together in the garden.

It was a beautiful sunny day. Here's Momo-chan checking on roses.

Rolling slider

This park is new and just by the pier and Santa Monica Place. Momo-chan liked this rolling slider a lot. Pingu tried it too and he said his butt hurted.

Frozen yogurt Momo-chan

Pingu and Momo-chan were happy with their frozen yogurt with toppings. Pinga thought it's a lot of sweets on top.

In the water

Momo-chan and Pinga enjoyed chasing and running away from the waves.

To the beach

They drove to Santa Monica. Pinga recommended Momo-chan to become barefoot and here's Momo-chan running towards the beach.

El segundo baseball

After watching the aircrafts,  they drove past a baseball field where kids were playing so they decided to stay and watch.

Clutter's park

This is Clutter's park that overlooks the airport. They were not alone as there was several people watching as airplanes took off. It was sunny but windy and Momo-chan complained that it was cold so they didn't stay so long.

Winding slide

Yesterday Pingu and Momo-chan went to watch airplanes at LAX. They came to this park and took a break and played a bit first.

Sunny LA

On the first morning after arriving in Los Angeles,  the weather was excellent. Pingu and Momo-chan went up to the roof and enjoyed the view for a while.

Jetlagged...

Momo-chan was up early this morning but he was up until eight in the evening without taking a nap. Just after watching Lego movie, he fell asleep like this. Sweet dreams Momo-chan!

Unagi dinner

Momo-chan has been asking for unagi (eel) and today he got it. Here's Momo-chan eating it happily.
