On the armrest

Pinga thinks me and QP-chan has many similarities. For example, while she's sleeping you can hear her heavy breathing almost like snoring. She's very cuddly. Also she likes to be like this on a couch!

Grocery shopping

After dinner they took a walk to a supermarket. Twins can walk much more these days. They wanted to help Pingu carry but pingu thought they were adding weight.

Helping QP-chan

QP-chan loves buttons. Mostly to unbutton them but tonight she wanted to help her brother button up his pajama. 

Measuring

Momo-chan wanted to use a steel tape measure. So he and Pinga took measurements of the twins. Coco-chan is 97.5 cm and QP-chan is 97.4 cm. Lastly, twins helped and measured Momo-chan. He is 129.5 cm tall. Twins liked the activity and wanted to be measured again and again.

Another sunny day

It was another's very nice day. They took a walk around sea wall.

Swinging together

As the bigger kids swings were occupied, Momo-chan came and joined baby swings.

Canada geese family

There were Canada geese families with babies. There were people feeding them and one nice lady gave Momo-chan and twins seeds for feeding. They enjoyed feeding them.

Rhododendron

It's sunny today as well so they headed for Second Beach in Stanley Park. On the way, many flowers were blooming and here's QP-chan holding light pink rhododendron.

Curry soba

It's usually curry udon but it was curry soba. Mimi-chan and twins liked it and ate well.

Dogwood flowers

It was very nice and sunny. Pinga made sandwiches and they went to Stanley Park. On the way there, these pink flowers were blooming. Pinga guesses these must be dogwood flowers her friend mentioned. She googled later and yes, they are dogwood flowers.

Bath time fun

Twins had extra fun with their new water guns this afternoon. They were tired from the trip and not in a good mood in the morning though.

Lunch in Chinatown

Pinga had very nice lunch with her Italian friend. They went to Pinga's Italian classmate's food place and she makes this delicious gelato. Pinga picked chocolate balsamic and her friend had toasted coconut.

Jacaranda

Last day in L.A. and they went to a park near by. It's jacaranda season so they saw lots of them blooming. This flower reminds Pinga of her UCLA days.

QP-chan moves around while sleeping and this morning she was upside down like this.

In the garden

They have a very nice garden with lemon, plum and apple trees. All the kids enjoyed playing indoor and outdoor.

Potluck

They joined potluck at Pinga's former colleague's home in Long Beach. There were lots of delicious dishes and fun conversations.

Good evening from Long Beach

Even though the flight to LA is only three hours it took them 8 hours door to door. They are now in Long Beach at an air bnb. The weather was nice but it is windy by the beach and pier so they did not stay long. 

Marshmallows!

The most appreciated part of the camping event last weekend was the grilling of hot dogs and marshmallows. 

Vancouver nature kids camping event

Last weekend Pingu and Momo-chan went to Centennial Beach south of Vancouver for a camping event arranged by Vancouver nature kids. Parks Canada was there to teach them a number of different things. In this photo you can see the instructor show how and when to use bear spray. Bear spray is very similar to pepper spray and can be used not only against bears. 

At YVR airport

They left early to catch their flight to Los Angeles. They're having fun at the play area.

Sharing QP-chan

Rainbow

They took a walk n the morning and when they came by Coal Harbour water park, there was a rainbow. Their nanny told Pinga they seem to be puzzled at the beginning.

Here's Coco-chan watching runners pass by on. West Georgia Street. There were very many.

By the way, they started toilet training a month ago and today, Coco-chan pooed for the first time in the potty! Good job Coco-chan!

After the shopping

They went for a shopping at a supermarket. QP-chan and Coco-chan walked all the way and back. 

Going up

QP-chan started to go up the slugger like this recently. Coco-chan followed her this time.

At the playground

While Momo-chan participated camping orientation, pings took them to Momo-chan's school playground. As usual QP-chan loves to hang. While doing so Coco-chan went to support her like this.

Under the sakura tree

Momo-chan and pings went to English Beach as they wanted to take a ferry to Granville Island. On the way, there were some sakura trees in full bloom.

Here's Momo-chan walking towards the ferry station. He wanted to throw locks and do other things so it took a while to get there 

Cheese!

Pingu was in Seattle for a business trip this week and came back with these cheeses. Not only Pinga but QP-chan became this happy. QP-chan and Coco-chan likes brie cheese a lot.

Rockhound Momo-chan

Momo-chan had lately been very interested in going rockhounding (looking for precious rocks and gems). Pingu and Momo-chan drove east to the Chilliwack area to try it out. They found some interesting rocks but since they are beginners, they are not sure if they are anything out of the ordinary.

Blueberry time

It's not raining so they went out for a walk and went to English Bay. They had a blueberry break on the bench.

Horse-drawn carriage

As it was not raining, they took a walk to Stanley park. There was this horse-drawn carriage. Coco-chan pet one of the horses. QP-chan was a bit scared as you can see.

Do you remember Momo-chan was at Aqua camp at Vancouver aquarium at the end of March? Pinga noticed Aqua camp site now has more photos of his group and found some photos of Momo-chan. Here is Momo-chan touching sea anemone. Other photos were his group in Amazon area looking up at sloth, doing crafts, looking at one of the penguins up close, etc.

At the park

Coco-chan fell asleep at 2:30 but QP-chan didn't even though Pinga walked around the quiet streets. So they came to Coal Harbour park. She enjoyed swing, sliders, climbing up and so on. Can you see Coco-chan sleeping in the stroller behind QP-chan? QP-chan finally fell asleep on the way home at 4pm.

This was the tree QP-chan was looking at. Some trees have lost much of the flowers but some trees are in full bloom now.

Chairs on sofa

While Pingu and Momo-chan were doing rockhounding, pings was at home with twins. They like to put their chairs like this. It's dangerous and pings didn't want it but they did it repeatedly.

Underground tour

There was an underground tour that took about 45 minutes. Here's Momo-chan listening to a guide person. She showed the group generations of drills and how they used them. Also she explained how the lighting situation was. Frost it was candle then there was headlight on a soft hat. Then hard hats came.

Finding gold

Here's Pingu trying to find gold pieces. Pings did good job and found a couple. Momo-chan found one too.

Touch screen Coco-chan

Here's Coco-chan operating on a touch screen. He is just two years old but knows exactly what to do.

Britannia mine museum

Thru have rented a car this weekend. So they went to Brittania Beach and visited this mine museum. It was interesting with artifacts and underground tour.

Good morning Coco-chan

Coco-chan woke up earlier than usual  at 7:50 but happily. He came out from the bedroom holding Winnie the Pooh.

Girls' dinner

Pings was out for dinner with her friend. She found out her friend is moving to New Zealand. She thought what is it with new Zealand?! Another friend is moving to kiwi land.

Destroyer Coco-chan

Puja was shocked to find out that Coco-chan has break off this music toy. She didn't think he can just break it like this and usually it's QP-chan who breaks things.

Tea time

Learning Hiragana

Unexpected sunshine

It was raining in the morning and the forecast for Vancouver was just rain for a week. But in the afternoon there was sunshine. So their nanny took them for a walk outside. Very nice! 

Birthday party

Momo-chan had a birthday party this afternoon. Eleven kids came. They had lots of fun. Limoncello cake Momo-chan selected got good reviews from the guests. 

Croissant breakfast

They had croissant with Nutella for breakfast together with all others. They looked like this after a while.

Sleepy QP-chan

As usual QP-chan woke up last. She looked this sleepy. 

Afternoon walk

Add usual they thin a walk in the afternoon. They saw a dog the other side and kept watching. They fell asleep after a short while. 

Watching TV together

Momo-chan likes to watch TV and twins joined thus evening. They were watching Power Rangers. 

Friendly Leo

One of the dogs at Pinga work is quite friendly. Leo came by and licked her hand. 

Can't stop yawning...

Twins were very sleepy after taking an hour nap. They usually sleep an hour and a half but they are woken up after an hour in the hope of them falling asleep earlier at night. Their nanny told Pinga they were yawning very many times. Here's the video. https://youtu.be/SbWMR9Gbcl8

Playtime

Twins were at the Coal Harbour community centre for a playtime this morning. They had lots of fun with cars, bikes, sliders, balls, etc. Here's the video.
