Back at the emergency

Coco-chan is in pain again even though he took pain killers and they are supposed to be in effect still. So they went to emergency at BC children's hospital. Line is long and tired coco-chan fell asleep.

At the emergency

Coco-chan couldn't sleep much because of the stomach pain. As it seemed to get worse, Pinga took him to an emergency at St. Pauls hospital. Although he has constant and severe pain, they just checked by touching and urine sample and he got discharged. They gave painkillers and told them to come back if it gets worse.

Sick Coco-chan

Coco-chan has been having stomach pain since Wednesday. It doesn't seem to go away...

Picking Momo-chan up

As Pingu is away in Seattle, twins and Pinga went to pick Momo-chan up from his after school care. They were happy with Pokemon ottotto snack.

Opening presents

Here they are opening presents. They got very excited.

Waiting for presents

After bathing, they opened presents. Here they are waiting for them.

Birthday cakes

As Coco-chan wanted strawberry cake and QP-chan, chocolate cake, they got both of them. The end result... both of them liked strawberry cream pie more. Momo-chan liked the chocolate cake but only the sponge cake part.

Twins turned 4

Time flies and twins became 4. They talk a lot and play together well.

Baby cangaroo became kid cangaroo

QP-chan has been skiing with Pinga in between her legs. This afternoon, she became independent and skied by herself like this. So they said she became a kid kangaroo and no longer a baby kangaroo. Good job QP-chan!

Waiting for gondola

QP-chan and Pinga went skiing today. They got to gondola station around 11 and there were not many people. It was raining.

Ready for Hinamatsuri, doll festival

They created origami hina-ningyo with their nanny. Interesting to see how different the faces of dolls are. Doll festival is on March 3.

Houses

This was what QP-chan made. Looks a bit like mushrooms but they are houses.

Craft time

They did craft after having hotdogs. Twins are good at using scissors just like Momo-chan was when he was small.

Family day at community centre

They went to the Coal Harbour community centre for the family day event. There were face painting, balloon art, bouncy castle, etc. Coco-chan asked for lightsaber and QP-chan, an owl.

Fireworks

Fireworks started just when they were finishing eating dinner. QP-chan got mini panic as she is scared of the fireworks. She doesn't like the sound of fireworks. Gradually she got used to it and finally, she stood next to Coco-chan.

S'mores

After skiing was s'mores by the fire. It was cold but they were happy to have grilled marshmallows with graham crackers.

Skiing QP-chan

Boys didn't want to ski but QP-chan did. Pinga was happy to take her to the slope. They took the lift up twice. It was around 5 pm and started to get dark.

Matching snowman

Momo-chan and Coco-chan got these matching snowmen. The artist was finishing up after 2.5 hours of painting and Coco-chan was the lucky one to get painted last.

Face painting QP-chan

They were at Cypress Mountain and as it was Family Day weekend, there were events like henna tattoo and face painting. They made it in time for face painting. The artist was very skilled and QP-chan for this.

Happy Valentine's Day

Momo-chan and twins received Valentine's Day cards and presents from their classmates at school. They were very happy.

Basketball Momo-chan

When Pinga went to pick Momo-chan up, he was playing basketball. Pinga said you were doing great. He said no, I'm not good at it.

To the preschool

Coco-chan was still not well so only QP-chan went to preschool today. Coco-chan said to the nanny that he misses QP-chan.

Baking helper

As Coco-chan was sick, they stayed home and Pinga baked gingerbread. QP-chan likes to help out.

"Moola" macaron

Pinga came back with Moola macaron. Mobile phone application she has been working on is called Moola. Momo-chan and twins became very happy as they love macarons.

Sick again

Coco-chan became sick again with high fever. They stayed at home in the afternoon and the fever came down a bit.

Dinner time

They were at Pinga's company suite so there were food and drinks. Momo-chan had a couple of nogiri sushi and a slice of pizza. Then the game started.

To the arena

Momo-chan went to watch hockey game at Rogers arena. It was rivalry game between U.S. and Canadian female teams.

Playtime at church

They enjoyed playing at church.

Sleepy QP-chan

QP-chan woke up but fell asleep again on the sofa in the morning. Zzzz...

Bee QP-chan and Hamtaro Coco-chan

QP-chan likes this Bee outfit a lot. Coco-chan likes Hamtaro these days and he said he was Hamtaro.

Snowing

It was snowing until late afternoon. As Pinga sits by the window, she could watch the snow well.

Lego house

QP-chan made a house with Lego. Twins seem to like Lego a lot.

Crane car

Pinga went to pick twins up from preschool.they were doing Lego. Coco-chan said that it's a crane car.

Fire alarms at 4am

Pinga woke up together with Coco-chan to the fire alarm sound. It was very very loud. Fire alarm went off and firemen came. The reason was unknown but the 7th floor fire alarm went off. It was shut off after 15minutes or so. Then it went off again. After all this, Coco-chan had difficult time falling back to sleep. On the contrary, QP-chan slept through all this without waking up. Momo-chan woke up too.

Setsubun

Setsubun comes a day before the beginning of spring season. The event is accompanied by a ritual to cleanse away the evil and welcome the happiness. Throwing soybeans to oni or demon and say "Demons out, luck in". Well, all the kids were wearing oni mask and did that. Soybeans were  supposed to be thrown to oni. As it was difficult buying roasted soybeans, Pinga got roasted peanuts instead.

Still sick QP-chan

Twins are fever free but they are still coughing. QP-chan is a bit worse than Coco-chan. She couldn't sleep well during night because of coughing and fell asleep like this in the afternoon. Momo-chan is the only one who seems to be more affected by this bad cold.

Preschool together

QP-chan is finally well enough to go to preschool. They were unicorn and polar bear today.

Coco-chan at preschool

QP-chan was staying home with their nanny but Coco-chan went to preschool. He was doing Lego when Pinga came to pick him up. She asked him what he did in the morning and he said "Lego. Just Lego." Almost always the same answer from him.

Coco-chan questions

Pinga is always amazed by what Coco-chan asks. While eating breakfast he asked, what is God? (神様って何？) to Pinga. Pinga tried her best to explain. Also asked where did he hear god but no answer. Pinga is guessing maybe at preschool as they go to Christian preschool. Other questions he asked were:

Why is this yogurt not white colour? Other yogurts are all white. (He was drinking Yakult)

What does sold out mean? (He was watching some toy program on TV)

Fireworks

They were about to go to bed and all of a sudden, fireworks started. Not sure of the occasion but they enjoyed watching them. QP-chan was afraid of the noise though.

Still sick QP-chan

It's the 4th day of fever for QP-chan. High fever started early in the morning of Thursday. She was tired and fell asleep like this.

Memory game

Twins are still sick with a fever. They were playing a memory game together. Momo-chan is good at it and QP-chan seems to have a good memory too 

Teruteru bozu

Another rainy morning in Vancouver. Twins made this teruteru bozu to wish for a sunny day. Let's hope it's effective and the sun comes out soon.

Sick QP-chan

Coco-chan got better and QP-chan started to have a fever. She woke up at 2am and saying I'm hot. Let's hope they get rid of the cold soon!

Church playtime

Twins were at the church for playtime. It's been a while and they were a bit shy but they joined song time and parachute and had fun. They seem to be finally fever free.

Birthday origami craft

Pinga came back home and received these. Flower bouquet has Pinga face by QP-chan and Coco-chan. Then twins drew their faces too. Also origami cakes. Wow, very nice.

Momo-chan said in the morning that there would be a birthday surprise made by him. Pinga asked in the evening and he said it was fun at school and he forgot. Pinga thought it's great that he had fun at school.

QP-chan at preschool

Coco-chan couldn't make it to preschool so it was just QP-chan. When Pinga came to pick her up, she was doing this. How do you call this? Magnet fishing and then place it in the puzzle.

Fever Coco-chan

Poor Coco-chan woke up with high fever on Sunday. He was tired and fell asleep like this. He called the stuffy "Donkey-san."
