Dog shampoo

Pinga found this dog shampoo with Deja-vu looking dog picture at the same store. She is sick these days. Hope she recovers!

Fish net

Momo-chan and Pinga went to buy a new fish net as the current one is half broken. Momo-chan somehow likes to put it on his head these days. He wanted a blue one but they only had this white one.

Lunch outside

It has been chilly this summer but it felt like summer has come today. Temperature went up to 20C degrees and sunshine. Pinga sat outside and had lunch with her friend. The fish stew was good and lunch company was fun so she thought life is not bad. She spotted two other friends at the Dame restaurant. Lund is not big.

Tent test

Pingu did some shopping at REI today and he of course had to make sure it was all in order. This tent could fit nicely on the floor of the hotel room but Pingu decided to sleep on the normal bed.

Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve

After a long day of meetings Pingu and his colleague decided to do a quick hike around the nearby Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. It was quite nice and they did not meet any rattlesnakes as is warned in the last photo.

Islands burger

After a lot of Japanese food shopping it was time for some dinner. Pingu drove by an Islands restaurant and could not resist a burger dinner. The Hana Hou burger was quite tasty!

Yogurtland!

Pingu has flown west after flying east (Korea) and is now in San Diego. After doing some work at the hotel Pingu felt productive and treated himself to some frozen yogurt at his favorite place.

Rabbit Momo-chan

It was rainy this morning so he put on this rabbit rain jacket. Momo-chan said to Pinga once he doesn't like this jacket as everyone loughs at him. Pinga said it's a nice, cute jacket and it's just when they walk in the rain and he seemed to like it this morning.

Hello water animals

They had fun looking at them. Good that Momo-chan's friend dad was good at catching them. But Momo-chan needs a new net as it's half broken.

Hello little froggy

They caught two frogs, two insects and a leech. This is one of the frogs. Momo-chan had tough time to let it be as he wanted to touch it.

Momo-chan abs Pinga were biking but Momo-chan wanted to stop and check this white fluffy thing out. There was lots of those fallen beside the bike way. Pinga researched at home and most likely they are puffs from poplar trees.

Momo-chan stopped one more time and said he wanted to play at a playground. So they played there for a while and he had fun with this big swing.

On the way to the pond

Momo-chan went to the pond with his friend this afternoon as well. Here's Momo-chan playing with the net.

Hello froggy

Can you see there is a frog on the surface of the pond in this photo? Close to the shore to the right.

There's a frog!

Momo-chan went to frogs pond with his friend today. The temperature was higher today and it was 19C or so. Here they found a frog on the surface but it was too far to reach. They didn't catch anything today. Pinga wished there was Pingu with them.

Pingu, Pinga and Momo-chan ask went to the nearby pond to see if they could catch some frogs. It was not sunny so not that many frogs out unfortunately.

Momo-chan workout

After ice cream Momo-chan tried out some of the outdoor workout great they have at skrylle. Good job!

Pingu was taking it easy at home today since he is flying out tomorrow again. He picked up Momo-chan at daycare and they decided to have some ice cream and walk around skrylle.

View from the top. Pingu woke early due to jetlag on his last morning in Seoul so he decided to walk up to the top of Namsan. The walk up and down took about one hour. It was not so clear but still a nice view.

Pingu went for a business trip to Seoul this week. He was there for only two nights so not much time for anything but work. This is the nice view of Namsan opposite the hotel.

Tomato and paprika

Tomato and paprika plants are growing nicely indoor, however, cucumber and melon outdoor are not. Cucumber disappeared and melon is dying. Momo-chan and Pinga noticed leaves of melon ate being eaten by something but now it has no leaves left and not in a good condition. Pinga's friend is suspecting murder snails for these.

Hello my friend

Momo-chan met his friend visiting from Tokyo. They haven't played together for a long time, well, to be exact for two years, but they played well together.

Sleepy hair Momo-chan

Momo-chan woke up and his hair was like this. He was looking into himself reflected on the mirror.

お手紙 Letter

Momo-chan was happy to find a letter from his friend too. They seem to look forward to meeting again in fall.

東京からの小包 Package from Tokyo

After the mall, they got excited with the package from Pinga's best friend in Tokyo. One of the contents was this furikake with Momo-chan's favorite characters.

Reunion at the mall

Momo-chan and Pinga went to a mall to find Momo-chan's rain boots as they got broken today. They didn't find good boots but instead met good old friends at a sports shop. Momo-chan had fun with them.

Ginger Momo-chan

Today's dinner was ginger pork. Here's Momo-chan grating ginger for it. Momo-chan wanted to use all the sides of grater though.

Momo-chan is curious about animals and flowers. Pinga's friend gave this flower to Momo-chan. Pinga put it like this.

Hello froggies!

To Pinga's surprise, Momo-chan wanted to go to frogs pond right after they came back home. There were many more frogs than the other day but no luck catching them.

Is itchy here!

Fulltofta was nice but there were very many mosquitoes in the forest. The scarf and hoody were good for his neck but he got bitten on the head. He asked Pinga to take a photo of the place where it was so itchy. Poor Momo-chan...

Hello horses!

Just by the bus stop of the nature center were these houses. Pinga petted one of the horses and Momo-chan wanted to do the same but no luck.

Momo-chan asked Pinga to join the tractor ride. So here comes another photo of him from above.

Lottery

Here's Momo-chan trying lottery to win a  honey jar. He drew three of them but no luck. But Momo-chan liked him and said he wanted to come back to see him.

There was a place where you can see bees. Here's Momo-chan looking at the bee hive up close. This researcher came and explained to Momo-chan where queen been is. Also bees keep themselves warm to 35C degrees.

Lunch by the pond

Pinga's Peruvian friend cooked tamales for lunch. It was delicious.

Momo-chan found this tree and wanted to climb. So Pinga helped him a bit.

Fulltofta nature center

They took buses to this nature reserve today. It was rainy when they left home but it got a bit better later. They started off with a nice walk in the forest.

Rabbit

Momo-chan's friend showed him checken and hen by taking off leaves from a certain plant. Momo-chan was trying it and got this rabbit shape.

Andean music

This person who was portraying Inti is a great musician. He used several kinds of flutes. He even played a Japanese music for Pinga. It was "Kitaguni no haru". The title means spring of northland. What a good choice of song in Sweden (northland)!

Hoping for good harvest

Here they are paying for good harvest by offering coca leaves and vegetables to the god.

Inti Raymi

Inti Raymi was a religious ceremony of the Inca empire honoring god Inti. It took place on the winter solstice. So in Peru, that is in June. The Spanish conquistadors and priests banned it but it was brought back in the 20th century.

Sapo is toad in Spanish. So there is a toad in the middle and if the coin got into its mouth, you get 4000 points. Here's Momo-chan collecting coins for next player.

They went to an event organized by Peruvian people. There was this Peruvian coin toss game. Point is up to which hole the coins get in. Pinga tried a couple of times but she didn't get any point at all. Hmm difficult?!

I will carry it for you!

Momo-chan and Pinga were on the way to bus stop. When Pinga mentored she couldn't carry him as she was carrying this bug, Momo-chan offered help and carried it a bit.

Rainy Skryllegården

After lunch they went to Skryllegården for some traditional celebration. There was this midsummer pole and people famed around it. Momo-chan and Pingu joined it too.

Today is a national holiday to celebrate summer solstice in Sweden. They went to their friends place to celebrate. There were nine adults and nine kids. Here's the picture of kids table.
