Gari Gari kun

Momo-chan and Pingu bought some ice cream after leaving the museum. Momo-chan picked this will known Japanese type called Gari Gari kun. Even though the photo does not make you think so,  he enjoyed it a lot.

Toy museum, crafts and games

One floor up there was some more fun. First they made their own toy and then they tried out the game room which had a nice selection of wooden games as well as some other types.

Bath?

The toy museum had this pool filled with wooden balls. Momo-chan liked it and wanted to be completely covered.

Tokyo toy museum

Today Pingu and Momo-chan visited the Tokyo toy museum. It is maybe best suited for kids up to three years old but they had fun and stayed until closing time.

Hello Kitty

They went to Sanrio shop. Here's Momo-chan saying hi to s big Hello Kitty.

和幸でお子様ランチ Kids plate at tonkatsu place

Momo-chan and Pinga had a nice lunch at a tonkatsu restaurant. Momo-chan seemed to be excited about this big shrimp but he ate just a bit. His favourite was the ice cream.

Hamarikyu garden

It was quite warm and humid today so it was nice to enjoy shade and breeze in the Hamarikyu garden which is located by Tokyo Bay.

Europe? Tokyo!

Pingu was walking and found this area in Shiodome. It looks like something you may find in Europe but this is at the heart of Tokyo.

Ginza!

On Sundays the main street in Ginza is closed off and you can walk slowly along it and enjoy all the expensive brand shops. All in all,  Pingu and Momo-chan did quite a lot of walking.

A walk down memory lane

On Sunday afternoon Pingu and Momo-chan went to visit the old apartment where Pinga and Pingu used to live in Tokyo (Sengoku). Then they traveled on to the building where Pingu used to work (Shimbashi).

Sunday at the park

On Sunday Momo-chan enjoyed playing in parks with his cousins. They especially liked this very long slider which had conveyer belt style rollers.

Hello friend!

On Saturday,  Momo-chan got to see his very good friend. They had a lot of fun together at a nearby kids park and quickly became sweaty. They had shop much fun so they also had dinner together.

Moomin cafe

After Totoro shop was Moomin cafe. It's new for Momo-chan and Pinga. They serve tapioca drinks. They ordered salt caramel soy milk drink. Momo-chan liked it a lot.

Momo-chan briefly hugged this Totoro at a Ghibli shop.

Ultraman Momo-chan

Momo-chan is into ultraman these days and was happy to find this ultraman poster.

Shoe shopping

Pingu and Momo-chan did shoe shopping as their shoes are tired. Here's Momo-chan trying out some shoes. He chose his favourite whereas Pinga recommended another pair.

Both Pingu and Momo-chan needed new shoes so they went shoe shopping. Momo-chan was happy carrying his new shoes.

Sweet potato pastry

They went to a café in the afternoon and Pinga and Momo-chan picked this sweet potato pastry. It even looked like a sweet potato.

Blanket for Deja Vu?

Momo-chan was playing with some advertisements and then decided to make a blanket of them for Deja Vu. Are you comfy Deja?

After a quick shower tonight,  Momo-chan's hair looked like this. Astro boy?

School relay

Pinga was getting massage so Pingu and Momo-chan was going for a walk around the area. First they watched kindergarten kids do coordinated play outside and then they walked past a school where they also were doing team based exercises outside.

Another mascot Harajuku Miccolo

Then they found another mascot for a cake shop. Miccolo promotes their sweets that use their own produced honey.

こぶしまる Kobushimaru

原宿を歩いていたら演歌歌手北山たけし応援隊長のこぶしまるに会いました。マイクを持っていす。
This mascot was on a street promoting enka singer Takeshi Kitayama. Can you see he's holding a microphone? Momo-chan thought it's cute.

Taking a walk after lunch, they came by this anti war and anti nuclear protest march.

Zauo, catch your own dinner

Today's lunch was at Zauo, a restaurant where you catch fish that they then prepare for you. It wad lots of fun for the kids catching fish and the parents enjoyed sushi, sashimi and tempura.

The incredible Hulk-chan

Pingu and Momo-chan went to a toy store in Ikebukuro today. They were looking for ultraman figures but found many other fun things including this hulk mask.

They went for lunch at a sushi place. Momo-chan liked this kids plate and ate well.

Bakery Vie de France

Momo-chan and Pinga were at this bakery buying Pingu's favorite sweet apple bread. Pinga chose sweet potato bread for Momo-chan abs herself.

Praying mantis, part two

After an afternoon walk,  Momo-chan found this huge praying mantis on the house wall. This time it caught a straw that Momo-chan pointed at it.

Sushi lunch

After shopping they went for tasty sushi lunch. Pingu and Pinga had missed tasty and good price sushi!

Cute hat Momo-chan

They went to look at some stores together and Momo-chan found this cute hat. It wad too small but he insisted he wanted it for cold Sweden.

Deja Vu

Poor Deja Vu has been fighting cancer and other illnesses. She is much better now but she is not as energetic as she used to be.

Praying mantis (kamakiri)

Outside Pinga's parents' house they found this large praying mantis. It was fascinating to watch and this year there has been many.

Gyoza lunch

Pingu has a tradition to eat gyoza lunch upon arrival and this time was no different. No one else followed though.

Tokyo skyliner

They all arrived in Tokyo yesterday morning. Momo-chan slept very well and was awake and curious while riding the skyliner train from the airport.

Happy birthday!

Momo-chan's friend is turning six soon so here's Momo-chan giving her a gift. They had a lot of fun playing together for two hours.

Gate is up!

After a couple of years, the gate is finally up. Pingu did the finishing touch by adding a gate lock to it. Momo-chan was helping out and was inspired to do some hammering.

ちまき sticky rice

台湾料理レストランでちまきが売っていたのでピンガは買って帰って来ました。飲茶で食べるののように美味しかった。ももちゃんの一番のお気に入りは中に入っていた椎茸でした。
Pinga bought these sticky rice thing at a Taiwanese restaurant in Lund. It was very tasty. Momo-chan was very happy with the shiitake inside. But it didn't contain much of it.

Digging Momo-chan

When Pinga went to pick up Momo-chan, he was digging and digging. It's getting autumn with 16C or so but kids don't seem to care much about it.
