Swedish vegetable?

Pinga found this root vegetable at a supermarket. What are these called?

It is a root vegetable named "rotselleri" just like potatoes and needs to be cooked about just as long. Try adding some in mashed potatoes or when making vegetable soup. It has a strong taste though, so be careful!

Have you tried parsnip? (Palsternacka). Looks kind of like carrots, but are white. Nice and sweet :-) Bake in oven with potatoes in wedges, topped with rosemary and salt. Serve with roast meat.
